Just create midi or midi Arpeggio pattern in daw and send midi data to TD-3. For arpeggios, use any Arpeggio plugin and sens midi from plugin to TD-3

This also works with the TB-03. Perhaps even easier because you can connect the box as an audio interface and trigger the midi notes in ableton using the External Instrument device.Will have to try with both the TD-3 and Tb-03 together. Nice trick!

Spread out your USB ports across ur computer. If you use a laptop, you will need a powered USB hub because otherwise your gear will use too much energy

"sick of TD3 random pattern generator?" For sure, even with the preset patterns, which seem to be random generated as well. The random pattern generator is totally useless. To play around with arpeggios and other external midi triggering sounds cool. Great video demonstration. Fortunately it's very simple to create useful patterns with the internal step sequenzer, too.

Not saying that externally sequencing the TD3 is not awesome. But the random generator on the TD3 comes alive when you realize you can edit the timing and pitch parameters. I also thought it was pretty lame till I took the lamest one it generated (it was like 4 notes in no interesting way) and reset all the timing steps to notes only to discover a very musical 16 note arpeggio...a few tweaks and I made a sweet bassline I couldn't have generated myself (I'm... musically ignoramus)😁

thx.....in synth tool you can set the note velocity, 97 is fine. now set the Ableton Midi Velocity tool like you see in the video, and randomnes will do the accents

You can do it on the unit itself. Just play a bunch of notes that work in a scale, then enter the times randomly. There's really nothing special about the way he's doing it. I guess if you don't know the notes of a scale then that could be a problem but there are plenty of web sites and apps out there that will help you figure those out.

Easiest way to get MIDI in to the TD-3 is use USB from your host. You will need an audio interface of some kind to get the TD-3's audio back into your computer, it doesn't have any kind of digital output. It's a mono device so any dirt cheap 2 in 2 out interface will serve.

Actually the square is nothing like a 303 hence the mod out there to make it more hollow to match a 303 the saw is actually more like the real thing

Switch on or off on your interface the direct monitoring

Ok, then the notes you're sending are "out of region" of the td3. Try an octave lower and compensate with tune knob if you want really high notes. I think its td3 limited, greetings

How to: Create a new audio track. Select Resampling from the track's Audio From dropdown menu. Arm the track. Solo the track(s) or group(s) of tracks you wish to resample. Alternatively you can mute the tracks you'd like to exclude. To begin recording: in the Arrangement View, click ‘Arrangement Record’ in the transport section at the top of Live. in the Session View, click on the little round record icon of the chosen clip slot. Miles Prive avoid usb for fast Bassline or Percussions. Use oldschool firewire ore pci cards.... Modern alternatives are usamo or erm multiclock for serious tight midi timing and low latency, greetings

plug it into your computer with a usb cable then go to link midi in the preferences menu. You'll see td-3 show up under MIDI ports at the bottom of the menu. I just turn it on for Track, Sync, and Remote. There's probably a good reason to not do that for everything but it works for me.

You need to download the "Behringer SynthTool". Its on the product page on the Behringer website. There you set up MIDI config for Ableton
