(Almost) lifelong vegetarian with IC here who found out that plants have oxalates-toxins that protect them from being eaten too much. A lot of IC patients have also found out that oxalates make their IC more symptomatic. It’s not the answer for everyone but the IC recommend diets don’t usually include them. The highest oxalate foods are rhubarb, spinach and potatoes. Detailed lists are easy to find.

I have yet to find a massage therapist that I absolutely loved, so if you have one that scratches that itch, do not let them go!! I just need someone that can find and liquify the knots - but also, please don’t touch my face 🙏🏼✌🏼 ESPECIALLY NOT AFTER TOUCHING FEET ☠️

I wish more women talked about this! The IUD kyleena is the only thing that's worked for me, depo made me depresssed and I got a bad batch and had big bleeding isssues....the pill was awful, plan b caused a TIA - it's been a decade of problems. Copper IUD meant cramps, but omg I had the WORST cramps ever before the depo. I wish they had put that in me back when I'd cry to the doctor when I was younger. And because I don't want kids for 3.5 more years and I got my IUD 1.5 years ago, It was perfect. When I moved back to AZ because of our rep. governer he'd blocked all out of state birth controls, the wait for a new doctor was 6+ months (depo shot needs every ??) and I had to fly back to NV to get my depo shot. It TERRIFIED me so I chose the IUD so that I'd have a say for this next election period. OMG I love you so much, thank you so much for talking about this!!!!!

Thanks for sharing. I hope you get the family you wish for one day. As someone who is 33, single and childless, I almost gave up my dreams of being a mom and having a family, but there is still time. And I can always adopt or foster if I can't have my own biologically.

Thank you for sharing your story. I went off birth control almost....10 years ago? Cause it was making me manic and brought more of my pmdd symptoms out. I can only imagine what you have gone through but I'm glad you've found something that works. Adhd and health care is a whole topic in and of itself... Adhd affects all parts of a person's life. I'm glad you mentioned it when talking about pain and basically gaslighting yourself into thinking it's not that bad. I do that all the time and it is sometimes debilitating pain that adhd says "nah girl its not that bad". Also... It's wild to me that the symptoms of pregnancy aren't more wildly shared.

Hey! I've been currently taking the pill for a year and have had a mostly positive experience. I was scared shitless before starting it because I had only heard stories of friends and family who had awful experiences with it. When did your symptoms get worse, if you don't mind me asking? It's really been a lifesaver for me, having PCOS it really helps manage the symptoms. Before I tried it with a diet that lowered my glucose and wheat flour intake which did help, but was hard to maintain just bc im a very picky eater. I'd love to hear more about your experience!

Any tips on finding psychiatrists that are open to looking at this diagnosis in older adults
@NishaBalsara3 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Google is how i found mine. I specifically searched for “psychiatrists near me specializing in adult and adolescent adhd”. I found that they tend to have more experience with treating adhd specifically for adults so they have the best advice and experience on changing up our specific medications, lifestyle habits, and other adhd challenges! Hope that helps 💕

Many of the women in my family have nose jobs, I have a really complicated relationship with the idea of plastic surgery for this reason. Sometimes I feel like everyone is erasing a part of their ethnic identity, but I don’t begrudge anyone their individual choices about their bodies. I don’t know if I look like my relatives since they don’t have their original noses, and as you say the nose is sort of the center piece of the face. Thank you for being open about what you’ve had done, sometimes I feel gaslit by society at large because everyone seems to tell you to embrace your natural beauty but then it seems like everyone magically fits into the beauty standards of our time. It’s complicated
