Grief is real. We can't run from it and I hope you continue to make space for yourself in this process. I lost my grandpa two days before my wedding and nearly 8 years later... I'm still grief stricken by his and my grandma's loss. It comes in waves. What I can say is... The waves get shorter and the light continues to get brighter when the grief comes on. Keeping you and Jesse in my heart cause even though we don't know each other... We're all humans in this life together and sometimes a heart hug from a stranger helps. ❤

thank you so much for being honest. 2023 has been the worst year of my life and i've felt so disconnected seeing everyone online doing well. when you're dealing with grief and hardship it's so incredibly isolating and it destroys your routine and it's really hard to do anything but cry sometimes. i'm so sorry for what you and your mom and family are going through - it's absolutely horrendous and unfair and I'm just sending you love 💙

I know how painful it is to have a sick parent... but showing up however you are on the internet for us in whatever frequency you can is SO fucking brave and good enough! really! Oh Nisha I’m so sorry. I feel for your family. My sister had a chronic illness and while we knew her life expectancy wasn’t long (she passed at 26) it was still so hard, esp the last few months when she was hospitalized out of state. Living while dealing with grief is so hard. There is a book called It’s okay to not be okay by Megan Devine that my mom read and said it helped her dealing with the grief. Sending my love and positive thoughts to you and your family, especially your dear mom. ❤

I really appreciate your candor, Nisha, and I'm so sorry to hear about yours and your family's struggles. I am in the thick of something similar currently, as I have to help care for my mom who has fast-progressing ALS and my dad who has dementia. My relationship with my parents is different than yours but I can relate to the complicated, overwhelming feelings that come with this type of grief. It is SO ROUGH. i'm glad you made this video. The situation sucks. last year i loss my oldest brother & my other brother found him. My brother the oldest his birthday is after new years day. The healing process is a process. I think the first year is the hardest. what's hard to watch my mother feel in her moments. As she post everyday about my brother. But i'm sure as she's posting he's seeing the post one way or another. Like a message & some how i got told 30's & 40's are the best years. my brother turned 40 on january 2nd i turned 30 on may 11th were 10 years apart. june 25 my sister got the call that my brother passed away. june 26 is my moms birthday. i'm sorry your going through this.
