Repairs wool toque (top 4 head gear in the game) then notices hes already wearing a crappy cotton toque (one of the worst hats in the game) then harvests the 100% wool toque!!! Hurt my soul watching that one!! 😂

Not for nothing but playing on such an easy setting you're going to quickly lose people because there are no threats to you and it gets boring. Your commentary is witty, and you seem a good shit but even with all the silly things you do in game the danger is almost non-existent.

Is he playing on pilgrim? I haven't seen a wolf in his game yet. You can absolutely use ravaged carcasses; the only danger is if you eat predator meat.

Enjoy! I'm one of the few that prefer story mode over sandbox, although I've played a fair bit of the latter waiting for the final episodes. But the mood of the game is killer 😋

I like the story mode, I feel like it adds more weight to the survival mode where it's just you and the memories of what happened before. Nice and nostalgic to see you visit Milton again after all this time as well. ^^

glad to see you giving Wintermute a go. it's a great way of learning the basics of the game and also some map knowledge which will help you for your survival runs. I would like to see you carry on with it. your enthusiasm and wonderment at new discoveries is very refreshing. there is quite a lot of lore to TLD, finding Grey Mother is the first of many. there is a separate settings page for story mode so you might want to check that out and tweak your controls. enjoy what I think is a really good story. cant wait for part 5 to finally be released to complete Will and Astrid's adventures

It's ok, I am waiting for your return so that we can watch your live stream and also see allot more of your cool episodes to come. Hope that your are enjoying yourself while you are away. I really love the cutscenes in this game so cool to watch and to get a back story is awesome !!!!! Make sure that you find that bedroll before heading out look for your ex !!!!. There seems to be a great mystery surrounding this story of the game. You got to play some more to uncover what is happening and why your characters ex so desperately wants to be there. Anyways see you soon and see you in the next one.

The quote from the beginning is from a poem by Dylan Thomas, a Welsh poet from 1937. It was also quoted in Interstellar as you mentioned. Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Speculating here but there are maybe two reasons for why it wasn't recommended more 1)In terms of mechanics, it's not that different from the Survival mode, in fact, counting DLC, it might have less unique stuff going on. It does have a few surprises for you, though. 2)The story itself, as you've already guessed, isn't fun and lighthearted. Isn't a bad thing but it does mean it's 50/50 if one would like playing through it. (Trying to avoid spoilers so excuse me being vague) for example, personally i love the environmenthal theme, no matter how dark it goes and i like some of the more hopeful episodes but some characters you encounter are just so... let's say sometimes i just don't wanna deal with the dark side of humanity. I'd rather keep to the solitude of Survival. Still appreciate the story, a lot about it resonated with me. It's just not something you can say "yeah, i'm sure you'll love it". This isn't to deter you from playing it. In fact, what i mean is Wintermute is different for everyone - you might want to check it out for yourself.

I played storymode recently to be prepared when ep5 comes out and it always gives me such a great feeling to play it or watch someone play it. It was my introduction to what is now hands down of my favourite games of all time, so yeah.. good memories. Playing the story mode gives you so much more context and info for some of the places. I can never not see Grey Mother sitting in her rocking chair when I step foot in that house and there are a couple other places that also have a certain "vibe" to me now. Appreciated the video, looking forward to the next one. PS: There were some weird unedited pauses in the game that made me think the video stopped. :)
