Dom's definitely 𝗻𝗼𝘁 overcharging. She's a highly skilled nail artist. That, and the cost of the materials, her time, and what a similar design would cost in a nail salon are all factors in her pricing. At a nail salon, prices for these designs would be 𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 twice what Dom charges for her press-ons. One of the benefits of buying press-on nails versus going to a nail salon for nail art similar to Dom's is if you attach the press-ons using a method that allows you to remove them without damaging them, you can wear them over and over again. Oh...and if you wear press-ons, you'll never have the added expense of fills! One of the biggest problems women who have their own businesses face is undervaluing their work. It's why so many of these businesses go under; after a few months in business they realize that while they're making a lot of sales, they're not even earning the minimum wage. And to top it all off for all their hard work, they don't get health insurance, paid sick days, etc. The quality of Dom's work is exceptional, and I think she should increase her prices by about $20 per set. At their current prices, her sets are a bargain.
@thatgirldom2 күн бұрын
@@MsTwirlyGirly1 wish I can pin this comment 😂❤ most of these responses are from children so they already don’t under or value an artist and want everything to be Shein prices lol.
@MsTwirlyGirly12 күн бұрын
There are different price and quality tiers for just about everything, and I think people need to be educated that applies to the press-on nail industry, too. When I see the prices for sets on Shein and Temu and it says they're handmade, I think they must be made by slave labor - literally. There's no way the people who are making them are being paid a fair wage for what the sets are being sold for, which makes me think whomever makes them is being forced to do it; perhaps it's prison labor? I'd really like to know. No way would I buy press-ons from them.

Such a cool set! I realize I'm laying bare my own ineptness with liner/detail brushes with such long bristles, but every time I see you using yours (which has been every video of yours I've seen) I've wanted to snatch that brush out of your hand and replace it with one with much shorter bristles that [according to 𝗺𝘆 experience] would be far easier to control. I'm just jealous. 😉

I know there are good influencers out there. But damn there are just so many of them that are sneaky little snakes 💀. Let’s just say that the ones who ask are usually not the good ones. Usually ok yall. I said usually. If you want to send free nails to someone, then YOU make that decision. You send it to someone you genuinely like. But don’t expect anything in return.
@Jay-kk1kvАй бұрын
Lmao I love how you called her out by name. But it was deserved, because don’t be rude when you asked for free nails 🤷♀️. And made it so rushed and complicated.

Genuine question. How is it insulting to ask someone where they get their supplies from? Shouldn’t small businesses support each other? It’s not like you’ll lose business by sharing where you got your charms or your polish. I guess people could copy your designs lol, but like you said. It’s about your individuality. People support you because of you. And copy cats won’t last long anyways. I’ve gotten turned down so many times by small businesses when asking for help. Only one person was honest with me. And she straight up said it was greed lol. They won’t share out of sheer greed. So I’m at a loss. I want to start a small business, but some of these people scare me 😂. Anyways, thanks for such an informative video. Definitely subscribing ❤

I was talking specifically about the nail boxes… lol it is a very easy thing to find anywhere so it comes off lazy when people don’t take the time to at least look for themselves first & expect others to look for them & get the answer. I send links to products all the time on IG to anyone that asks & my whole YT channel is to help people with supplies + their press-on business so idk how you are assuming I don’t support other small businesses with the “shouldn’t small businesses support each other?” question lol.
