Another great video my friend! I was going to suggest adding a bandana to your kit, but I guess you EDC a neck scarf on your person. I have heard of EDC packs that have portable trip alarms that you can setup should you need to get your head down in an abandon building or the likes, but I've seen many of your videos and know you'd utilise your surroundings with things like stones or broken glass etc on floor surfaces to alert you of intruders. Personally I need a larger bag for urban EDC and am currently transitioning from the Vertx Readypack 3.0 to the Roaring Fire Waxed Canvas backpack. It's a little similar to the Nutsac products in its looks and a smart looking but practical pack.

I'll agree to disagree and what I mean is that if you don't have it on you then you can't use it. You can use a fanny pack and carry a small weapon and a few IFAK stuff. If you are trained then carry what you want to get home or take action. Just my opinion from an old vet.

It's important to have maps of our city/country in paper. Regarding backpacks I avoid any tactical looking ones. People in panic will flock to anyone who they think can provide help. Tactical stuff is often associated to military and security. In a SHTF situation we must go from point A to Point B and having people asking for help will not be a good thing imo.

I have a similar equipment, but without pepper spray and less first aid (no burn gel for example). I would add a space blanket. It's so versatile, saves you and others from heat, cold, you can signal with it etc. I also have a HAD tube scarf (an original one), because you can use it for so many things and it takes no space.

I would disagree. Even in a SHTF situation in an inner city, most people aren’t going to rob you in the first 24 hours. Unless they would have robbed you before then anyway under normal circumstances. I like something in between. A get home bag. Bigger than yours, but smaller than a bug out bag.

I agree with your point of you, I just wanted to say that when a true chaos happen people are narrowed focus on saving their lives so their thresholds gets lower and pushing or pulling others or trample on someone else become a possible option. in a survival situation obviously you will get an adrenaline strike so you WILL get thisty and tired after the adrenaline kick. Of course in cities the chances for water to be polluted means I would rather take a filter with chemical capabilities like the OKO 500ml bootle or the same from other brands. It allow me to have and to procure water. And some enregy bars to replenish myself after a run from the problem area. Aslo you never know when it may happens so a way to protect your from the elements, a mylar or a plastic sheet in case you need to take some rest.

I carry pretty much the same stuff, but i prefer to keep the most critical items on my body. The pdp in in my waistband, the multitool (i go for a swiss knife in urban environments), the flashlight and lighter are in my pockets. Medical stuff, power bank, and i also usually carry extra batteries for the flashlight, some water and some food, will be in my pack, so if they are stolen or lost, i still have my first emergency line. Another useful thing i do is keep a 20, a 10 and a 5€ on me. You could always find a shop with the basics and buy something, in Italy 35€ if used wisely will have you covered for a couple days

Very well done,this is a very good thougt out kit. To much is too much and too little is not enough.. To have some basic edc on your body is the most import thing one should have.. As for a regular pack i like to have a somewhat more complete set near me. I prefer a small backpack to have my hands free to run without a bag flopping around my body. I keep that under 20 lbs, fully loaded, with some water and food and that pack doubles as a get home bag and would be halfbad as a basic bug out bag and would also work well for an unexpected overnight in a hotel. I take that only with when i go for a longer trip and usually i do not carry it around and leave it in the car or Hotel etc. But as much as i want o have this backpack with me in reality a small shoulder bag with a few items is what i carry most times when exploring the places/ citys while travelling or walking around in my hometown. I always keep a good amount of stuff in my car and an empty backpack too. But this what you show is a very good extended edc kit to have with if you do not want to carry that pack and your car is parked a couple miles away.. Or for a person travelling by bus or train etc. that is already carrying his normal regular travel Gear/ suitcase . Most packs you see are pretty set for use when riding in a car someplace, but here in Europe people tend to travel a lot more in trains , busses and walk away from their cars further distances than most folks in the US. One thing- outside my hometown I would like to always have some water purification like a lifestraw or similar with me. As for the multitool i came to the point where i prefer a regular Swiss Army knife ( or regular multitool) plus a pair of small, pointed combination pliers with wire cutting ability and insulated handles. Especially for urban use where electricity and cables are present. And always carry spare prescription glases. An M95 mask could be added too. Besides that mask, a water purifier and a mylar blanket, one might have an cheap emergency poncho in the bag even if he is wearing multifunctional cloth . These four items are super light and and take very little room. Just suggestions ..🙂 Any way I appreciate videos that cover the urban aspect of prepeardness. The majority of people spend only a fraction of their live outdoors and the most will not leave the citys in a crisis for the unreal idea of surviving in the woods. Still the majority of bags and packs that are shown are heavy loaded with outdoor equipment. The only case for here in Germany and comparable countries around would be to be able to spent a night or two outdoors in a get home situation without freezing to death. And even that is pretty unlikely as most parts are so urbanized that it is very easy to get to and find some sort of building to shelter in .
@AlexWander
@AlexWander 14 сағат бұрын
I couldn’t agree with you more with all that said! And living off the land without getting back to urbanized areas from time to time is a huge myth! Maybe the 3% of the worldwide population could be able to live in nature their entire existence , for two reason: first we would need lots of knowledge second nature offer way less than what was available before the 800! Less edible plants less animals etc etc , that’s why I want to be as realistic as possible as possible! Thanks you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts I really appreciated it!

If you decide that you want to get yourself an actual pack rather than a sling bag in addition to having a relatively small pack you also would want to make sure that it has buckles on the shoulder straps so that heaven forbid if someone does grab a hold of your pack you can unbuckle at least one of the straps and slip out of the pack either to run or to fight.

What you can do is put an R 500 hardened steel plate in the book bag and put it in front of you or behind you or you can get soft body armor and do that assuming you can get body armor in the mail I mean you can have just about anything else I don't know how it is over in Italy but and y'all can't have guns you know what I mean but like we do here in America we can kind of order those things mostly not the whole gun things but some parts
