Fyi this covers all Explorers, not just the SportTrac. I feel you though. That damn overly sensitive alarm is annoying as hell when I get in my truck and back up to get my mower past it or to let my tenant out if I block him in and the seatbelt alarm freaks out because I put it in reverse and still haven't released the brakes. Whoever decided to make it as annoying as it is should be given a vehicle that they can't sell or disable the chime on and constantly chimes at them non stop if they don't drive absolutely perfectly and do them like they do us with the seatbelts and not allow them to reset it unless they stop the vehicle, turn the key off, and exit the vehicle. Maybe that would teach them a lesson about putting annoying and unnecessary "safety" features in folk's cars.

People that want a off road worthy truck don't care about how the tailgate drops, how the seat adjusts, or if it has apple carplay. This is what the millennials want lol. IMO the Pro4x with a small lift and 32s would be the better choice and cost so much less.

I have found it easiest to remove the springs by taking the loop end of a rope or dog leash,etc... position the end of the spring to sort of dig into the nylon of the dog leash loop & simply pull over & up

I have the 2018 SV Midnight Edition. I love this truck. I installed a Rough Country 3” lift and it looks awesome. Super reliable and better on gas than expected. Gets exactly what yours does. The only negative is the LED control module. Prone to failure due to its mounting location on the underside of the headlamp housing. Absolutely love the LED lighting in the box and all the well thought out design like the 120v outlet in the box and cab. Motorized projector lamps to lower or raise the light beam. Super comfortable seats, you can drive for hours without fatigue. The ride is soft but in my opinion the F150 is smoother. The power is great, when needed you can pass someone with ease. Hands down one of the best trucks I’ve ever owned. Sad to hear they discontinued the Titan.

Have a 2017 4x4 nissan frontier sv flexfuel omg Ive done a few modifications first was a cold air intake with heat sheild first month I got the truck in August 2021, next was a throttle controller, after that 18 wheels a few months later 275 65 R18 Rocky Mountain LT AT, and now I just got a rough country 6 lift installed this all took me a year to get the wheels tires and lift together. Will say Nissan is actually really reliable and parts are super common and not as expensive as my old 2000 ford expedition which I had to work on constantly just to keep it out of limp mode and running right. At first I wanted an F150 they said to try this out it fits my stye and is more affordable I said but its a nissan frontier V6 boy did I have no clue about these trucks being this good I have taken it stock half-way through the back way crown king and didn't disappoint now with the lift I am out to conquer more trails!!!
