gamepad support in mobile. we have so many Bluetooth and usb game pads to us with mobile phones and few games that takes advantage of it. i don't mind touch controls but for action games a controller feels more natural. turn based can go without because your not reacting to what's happening in the game

When I watched the Tribe Nine anime, I initially thought its game would be an open-world baseball game with parkour mechanics.

Same devs as Tower of Fantasy by the way, while it's a flawed game. It had a lot of content that seems to be here as well

Idk, I'm not hooked. The whole thing just feels cheap to me. They work with a huge contrast ratio and very few line art which I hate cause it usually lacks detail like it does here as well. The map/exploration looks cheap and I did not seen a single thing which would set it apart from any other action title out there in terms of systems & mechanics. We'll see how the end game content gonna turn out tho.

I'm happy that there is an effort to save their game. It must absolutely suck as a game Dev to work so hard only to see your project go down the tubes. Probably never see global. 😅 I don't believe they should turn the gacha into a premium game. Here's some reasons why: 🔸️ People judge premium (paid) games far more harshly than free games. 🔸️ Free gacha games tend to have mediocre stories ("mediocre" in comparison to premium games at least). When people say a gacha game's story is good, it's usually in context to it being a free game. Most people are not holding the game's story to the standards we expect from games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, the Walking Dead, the Last of Us, the Witcher, Elden Ring, Lies of P, Final Fantasy, etc. 🔸️ Even premium (paid) indie games typically have their stories judged more harshly than free gacha game stories (albeit not as harshly as games from AAA game studios). This leads to the question then: How well does Archeland's story compare to the standard of what players would usually pay to experience in the (premium) RPG genre? 🔸️ The gameplay mechanics for free gachas are (more often than not) very barebones (doing the bare minimum of its game genre) compared to the level of depth and complexity you'd expect from premium products. How well does Archeland's gameplay mechanics compare to other premium games of its tactical RPG genre? 🔸️ Assuming that the game has to be modified from being a gacha live service game to a pleasant single-player experience, how much would it cost the devs to go through that transformation process for Archeland? 🔸️ If the game needs to be properly translated into English and then marketed, what would be the extra costs of that? Can they afford it in their current state? 🔸️ What's the highest price the average player would be willing to spend on Archeland when its current state is converted from live service to single-player? Assuming all players who are interested in the game ends up purchasing it, will it cover the expenses that were spent on converting the game to single-player, translating it into English, marketing, and any other accrued costs of the game? 🔸️The players had legitimate issues with certain aspects of the game. People are suggesting that it's the publisher that won't allow the devs to alter the game based on player feedback. If this is really the case, then are they going to release the premium version with all of those issues left as is in the game? If the issues were problematic enough to practically kill the game in its current F2P state, then what would be the chances that people pay money to experience all of those issues that the publisher (allegedly) won't allow them to fix? There's probably a lot going on, but from what I've gathered, Archeland is another sad case of "passionate devs imprisoned by the worst publisher". 💡 I think they would be better off at this point, letting the game go. Try to appease the players who kept hoping for improvements, but never got it (allegedly due to the publisher's interference). Keep the same passionate team together, abandon this publisher, use Archeland as a resume of what they're capable of with full transparency on why the game failed, and find a better publisher (with a better track record) to support them on a new project. They could even make something of the same genre, but use their past experience to make something even better and more ambitious. Maybe they could even start a GoFundMe for gacha players to invest in them to make a great live service game, who knows. 😅 Either way, this project is over. The only other way I can think of for them to get out of this is if Archeland can be bought by a better publisher who would be willing to support the devs and allow them to alter the game in the way players have been requesting. Otherwise, they just have to let it go. Hopefully they come back like a phoenix with an even better game and publisher in the future.

This and FMA mobile were the two SRPGs I was hyped for. Played the latter and was disappointed with the management and dropped it during the first summer patch. As for Archeland I was waiting for a potential global before trying it out but then EoS was announced. Now I might just try it out as is. Thanks for the coverage fam
