Just picked one up on craigslist, barely used for $250. It looks like there is a through hole of about .800 diameter. But the chuck is only .70 or less opening. I am wondering if i can buy a different chuck with a wider opening to fit a .75 diameter pipe through the chuck.

God explanation and honest on your own mistakes - it is an example how to show that mistakes can occur even if You are experienced welder. One suggestion - to keep your health safe do not breathe within welding fumes without good ventilation or filtering mask - it may cause cancer or other health issues!

People! This is a decent machine. It works good. This DORK doesn't know how to use it. It's obvious he hasn't read the manual. He bad mouths the machine.

I’ve never machined anything in my life and I’m trying to learn how. Because I have a 1997 Chevy truck and it’s got a five speed manual and these plastic ears that hold the clutch pedal up into the dash keep breaking off and I want a machine them out of steel.

Love this channel. What’s the furthest you can run your leads with this machine? I ordered one and it said the tig torch hose is only 6.5’ long. Wonder if it would damage machine running longer leads. I’d like to run a 25’ Flex

Just a suggestion...maybe have a short piece of roundstock to put in the chuck to set the taper with. That way you're not banging against your sharp drill tip.

I have this 7/10 lathe and it is nothing but just totaled junk if you want to do any type of work that is actually nice to look at and has the specs that you want on something . It works okay on aluminum but I'm still forget about it it will not leave a smooth nice cut at all there's just too much play and everything about it the bed flexes a lot

You don’t have to pull the tip off the metal to cut, you’re not welding. Probably didn’t turn off when you hit the switch because it was cooling down, give it a little time. I have the same machine but it’s called a Vevor and I didn’t realize it kept the air flowing when I released the trigger to cool the tip. Good machine, read the manual.

well it's a lathe kzbin.infoUgkxN9zrzkkhnjUF5PQbuA_B1gYdsfCu9k6z but it wasn't what i would have anticipated. Headstock, tailstock, carriage apron are manufactured from aluminum now not cast iron. The spindle diameter for the bearings is too small allowing for a few play in the spindle so I am using some blue Loctite to take out the play.
