I love the fish. If they say no cameras in temples, isn't it disrespectful to pull one out? Hopefully, i will visit Japan someday i have to pay respect to Takeda Shingen😊

As you can see that both of the eyes have been painted in by the owners of each doll. This indicates that the wish has been granted and the dolls were probabaly brought to the temple for proper disposal, probably by fire overseen by a priest.

So... I don't know who you are, or why KZbin recommended this video to me haha... But I just graduated college too, and I'm moving to Tokyo for grad school in a month... I always wonder what's gonna happen once I'm not around somewhere anymore, and your video kinda gave me some sense of comfort about things changing for good... You going through your memories also made me reminisce about my time in school and college leading up to where I am... Thank you for the video... It helped me refresh my mind a little bit!

Subscribed! Initially from the video preview, I thought they would be somehow related to gambling (like you buy one and it contains some random amount of cash or a consolation prize), Even though I was mistaken, I think this would be a good business idea. Also don't worry about filming in the temple, you used a Sony full frame camera which is considered sacred and spiritually-clean by the Japanese.

Good job, mate! ❤ Nice video quality, smooth music, great pictures! I liked you narrating in front of the camera 📸 The fireworks that turned into a survival game kind of situation was crazy! Over 1 million people trying to get into the train station at the exact same moment, that was crazy indeed!

This just popped up in my feed, but as a 29yo man of the Asian diaspora (Korean-American), I appreciate seeing another Asian man speaking on going to therapy, since we are statistically some of the least likely to go to therapy, let alone go to the doctor for regular checkups. Many of us come from families afflicted by colonialism, domestic violence and abuse. I was beaten and terrorized by my father who was an alcoholic like his own abusive father. I was lucky to be led to therapy through my own educational advantages afforded by my parents' healthcare and middle class upbringing but eventually I fell into poverty as I aged out of their healthcare and started living on my own. I struggled very hard with depression and alcoholism despite years of voluntary therapy. Working blue collar jobs after being unable to afford college intensified the mental issues I had because of all the toxicity and abuse rampant in blue collar work (being screamed at by bosses and discriminated against in many different ways by coworkers and management while basic safety, well-being and mental health gets ignored. Many of us have had injuries and burnout but I know that happens outside of blue collar and manual labor too. For me, what helped even more than therapy was unlearning colonialist ideals passed down to me, plus educating myself on community and holistic health, instead of just psychotherapy. For my whole life I've been marginalized but surrounded by people more marginalized than me. Many of the folks in my life have been Black and Brown, come from extreme poverty, gangs and incarceration. But you know what? I learned so much about peace and community from these folks because they've learned such hard lessons at an early age and through such short periods of life filled with pain, grief, trauma. They have much wisdom and taught me so much about how to forgive myself, forgive my parents, forgive the people around me. But of course, reading the works of liberationist revolutionaries like Angela Davis, Assata Shakur, Audre Lorde, George Jackson, Fred Hampton, bell hooks, Eduardo Galeano and so many more - that's what taught me how to resolve so much internal and external conflict. I realized that I must learn to coexist with others but also fight for what's right, not just for people like me but entire peoples all around the world. That's what keeps me going and helped me find and build such healthy relationships.

I like to think that 500 years from now some Archaeologist will look at that place and assume it must be some place of worship for an ancient religion, and the mouth of the dragon is where people were thrown off as a sacrifice to their water lizard god 😆

Great video my man. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences. Remember that from now on every time you overcome your struggles, you have another person cheering for you and everytime you struggle you have another person lending you a hand. We're all struggling together and no failure ever matters as long as you keep your goals in mind. With that - my man - I wish you a Yappy Birthday!

It is believed in Chinese customs that when the ancestors are given proper lavish graves, it will bring auspicious and prosperous luck to the descendants. Many graves are not aligned because they were individually positioned to a direction auspicious to the deceased and its descendants.

WOW. All that just for bodies to decompose in.... our bodies are suppose to go back to the Earth. Not in metal caskets or concrete tombs. I mean in those you just decompose for nothing... I feel like metal or plastic caskets should be illegal because they take up to much space and are useless to the earth. You have the right to just be buried in nothing but the Earth or simply become ashes which are also useless but fair.
