As you can see that both of the eyes have been painted in by the owners of each doll. This indicates that the wish has been granted and the dolls were probabaly brought to the temple for proper disposal, probably by fire overseen by a priest.

Initially from the video preview, I thought they would be somehow related to gambling (like you buy one and it contains some random amount of cash or a consolation prize), Even though I was mistaken, I think this would be a good business idea. Also don't worry about filming in the temple, you used a Sony full frame camera which is considered sacred and spiritually-clean by the Japanese.
