Trust me, that's not just you. I currently play on 40 ms and I have that happen to me too. (Also I used to play on 65 ms so I get how its like to have higher ping)

in other fighting games, high ping only has disadvantages. in naraka, it has some advantages too. your inputs in combos don't have to be that precise because you get higher uppercut height. and when a low-ping player fights a high-ping player, they don't know when to parry or dodge, because they will be hit at a different timing than usual if there is a large ping difference, rubberbands occur, causing players to lose stamina and take damage at the same time. many high-ping players have discovered this and do untrue combos and/or play Wuchen V2 to improve their win rate even if you moved closer to the server, with your current mindset, you'd probably still be unhappy about the high ping of other players. i don't think it's productive for high-ping players to complain about low-ping players and vice versa. if this issue is big enough for you to not enjoy naraka, just play something else

​ @Penemue The problem isn't really the ping itself, it's what's going on in the fiths. For example, when you hit white attacks into each other, with a ping of 48-50 it's not parity and you're not knocking into each other. The opponent has a faster attack in almost all cases and staggers me. Same thing with blue attacks. Even if I've already started doing a blue attack, the opponent can give a blue and we don't knock into each other. The attack will go through me and hit me. I've played against you many times. I've lost and won many times, but I can tell you one thing. You are able to dodge much faster from attacks that on my screen are just starting. So you have the advantage. It's also about action registration. All actions are logged on the server. Many actions are registered faster because of the small ping, this is greatly reflected in movement. I'm not arguing that hands are still important and skill really does make a lot of difference. Also in the last update my hooks started flying into the stratosphere. I throw a hook in front of me, and it throws into the opponent who was behind me. And yes, I'm not kidding, I didn't save the video snippet of this, but I've had this happen twice now.

@@LimvirTV on high ping, you can't always see it when enemy halfcharges their light attack. if you lose neutral when you think 2 light attacks should clash, your opponent might have halfcharged his attack, but it didn't show it on your screen my grapples also sometimes go backwards or into random places. when the enemy is at max grapple range or iframing while you grapple, strange things happen. i've also aimed a kurumi F at my teammate in the center of the screen and it went onto the other teammate 20m behind me in yang gate instead for no reason the game is good but not perfect, and unexpected behavior can happen on high ping and on low ping

Why am I getting so many faf comments lately, did jaggedappliance quit the balance team and the game is playable again? Anyway you put the purple transport command on the ground and at the LZ with multiple transports selected. Then you select a large amount of units and all will be picked up pretty much simultaously. So I think you have to use ferry order. Or you use control groups or fast box selection, you can train simply being faster with your mouse and keyboard as well

it doesn't seem like you want to learn how to play but rather watched this video to get reaffirmed in your beliefs. just keep doing what you're doing if that's what you enjoy if you hit your skill ceiling with that approach and you're ready to change your mind, i recommend typing "machine complex" into my channel search and watching these videos

Playing RTS without spamming units is impossible because that's how RTS games are designed. As long as the attacker scouts and adapts to what he sees, the defender can never win without units. If the opposite was true, a match could never end. A tower-heavy style is predatory on the stupidity of your opponent who must waste units against your towers for you to win. Let me contextualize this, I mostly play trios, but I got into Solos to train some things i can't learn in trios that well, mechanical things, movement, chasing, punishing specific Fs, etc I can kill most players I run into, but in most of my lobbies, there are 1-2 players that are way better than me. I don't see it this way. Playing on 2 dodges in trios on most characters was not a good experience. It's much better with a minimum of 3 dodges

You were forced into specific brackets before as well, maybe you just didn't realize it. Only people who really know what they are doing pick non-standard stuff. But I think we have more variety than before actually now, since some characters can run purple

faf died around 2016 when micro got removed and jaggedappliance killed balance by making all units equally strong so it doesn't even matter what you build anymore, you're good as long as you have more than your enemy. i won't play community-managed games anymore, games are best managed by professionals, not by fans who cause them to self-destruct these asian games challenge my brain more than the wasteland that's left where faf once was. i would recommend you to try them out, but if your PC can't run a game from 2007, i'm afraid it won't be enough for naraka either enjoy your -6 speed dual gap game i guess :( edit: typo
