Here we are, 1 year later. These reels are GONE! I did buy 3, my neighbor bought 2 that he doesn't use, which I am trying to get a hold of (I keep asking him to sell them to me). I wish I had bought as many as I could have gotten my hands on. I have used the 5000 exclusively with a 12ft surf rod, for about 1 1/2 years. I only surf fish. Sand, salt air and an occasional dunk. Nothing has hurt it. I did blow out a drag click spring unspooling and had to make one to replace it since there are 0 parts available. The drag adjust clicker is gone, but the reel still performs at levels I cannot get out of my Penns. The drag is soooo smooth, no jerks, none. I have caught some big fish with this reel. I don't know why these were so cheap, but if I had a time machine, I would go back and buy every last one of them.

I lost 120 pounds on keto. I gained back 60+, but here I go again. I'm down 9 pound in the last couple of weeks. The first week, you lose a good amount of water weight.

AFAIK, the Chaos 40 and 50 reels are the only ones out of all the Asian built round casting reels that have spool bearings, just like the Abu C3 reels, only at 1/3 the cost. They're the best value for round bait casters and modding them for casting distance (static mag brakes and no level wind) is easy.

I love my MK. It's the howitzer of the sportsman lineup. And you will fall off before you flip it. The secondary stability is insane.
