Cool reaction. Drums was drum machine and drummer. Live the drummer was playing along w the drum machine. You gotta watch the Purple Rain movie which puts the song and the album in better context. Prince did all genres, so you d have pick a genre. For examples: "I feel for you" 1979 RnB disco has prince playing all instruments, singing all parts "Kiss" 12" extended version, turns into a totally different song "Dead on it" 1988 prince didn't like where hip hop was taking the music industry, so here he s making fun of rappers, by rapping. "Chapters and verse" has prince rapping "Head" 1981 live in Houston is your "clutch my pearls performance. "Can I play w you?" Prince and Miles Davis "Hot w you" prince and eve "How come you don't call me anymore?" Studio version and live in Bloomington both are nice. "Alphabet bet street blues" prince doing acoustic blues "Five women" bluesy song by prince. Another side note for the Time s first album, Prince, Morris day, and Jesse Johnson did the first three songs and sold the songs to Warner bros, and they signed them even before there was an actual group. In a Time rehearsal, prince would walk in w a tape, say 'play this" they d ask "when did you work on this?" I finished it at 3am. And they would incorporate that into the show. Shared w peeps.

Bruh Jamiroquai sets the vibe for the party. Shit really reminds me of the old skool 70s funk that my dad would play on his vinyls. 🔥 as usual my guys

Jimi served in the 101st Airborne along with Billy Cox, the bass player in this video. I know Jimi never saw combat, but he definitely knew what a machine gun sounded like, and what it was capable of doing.

The whole song is just 4/4. It’s just a super slow clave style rhythm on a regular 4 count.

Frank wrote sheet music for every part of every song. Over 100 albums. Improvised his solos every concert. Only the greatest musicians were in his bands. They would line up to be in his bands.

I have never heard such emotion come from a guitar, or any musical instrument. It’s the sound of anguish. It’s not even like a musical instrument it’s so human.

YO!! I can't believe nobody suggested what I'm about to!!! Sorry, I was sleepin on this reaction, this is one of my favorite RATM songs. I too LOVE Cypress Hill, so hold onto you seat........ When Zack n the boys split up for a while in the early 2000s, Tom, Brad and Tim, hooked up with Chris Cornell to form the super group Audioslave, I'm sure you're aware of that. BUT!!!!! After that, they hooked up with a couple other guys to form another super group........ B. Real and none other than Chuck D. himself, to form a group called Prophets of Rage!!!! They might have two albums, but I know they did one for sure, and toured twice. They got some really dope songs!

Any time you can, catch live versions when hitting a Zappa song. You will be amazed at how tight his various combos were, and it wasn't by accident. Frank was a composer, and would write out each instrument's part, then rehearse the shit out of the band until they could do it in their sleep. The only one in the band who normally got to improvise was Frank himself, who never played a solo the same way twice. Zappa is a deep well, hope you've got a big bucket. Have fun.
