im trying to upgrade my 2015 MacBook Pro 15inch from Catalina to Monterey. im on Catalina 10.15.7 & I have downloaded Monterey installer from the Store. I was able to install the Monterey & then it boots & supposed to launch. Here comes the twist, black screen with apple logo ?loading bar & then It shuts down automatically. I couldn't able to turn on my Mac after that until the battery Is completely drained or I have to open the back & flick the battery latch to get it started quickly. So it restarts after that & it says " A required firmware update couldn't be installed" . This Machine was upgraded to Samsung SSD few years ago & I was using Catalina since then. I have read on apple support which said that SSD might be an issue. if it is not the original Apple ssd it can't support OS updates because there might be EFI firmware missing in the SSD that's running the OS & MacBook stock drive. So the MacBook stock drive is on high Sierra or Mojave & im trying to upgrade Catalina to Monterrey . so the stock drive don't have files or firmware that support OS update from MOJAVE or high sierra to Monterrey even though i'm using Catalina.BTW I was able to reinstall Catalina I have bought an new NVME ssd & tried Booting from USB drive as well but still it blanks out after the install. This is what I have came across & im stuck now. correct me if im wrong & please help me if there's any tricks left to try . Thanks a lot

you prob wont see this after so long but, I can find no video on which way to insert the lightning cable in to this remote. The pins on the cable are on one flat side only. Is the remote wired internally to accept the pins regardless of which way you plug the cable in, or do you need to put the cable in with the pins to the front or back of the remote?. there is no place I can find this out to date after hours of searching.

Mine doesn't show the 'permissions' button. It used to last year but it doesn't anymore and oddly at times it shows in Preview under file with edit permssions but its hit or miss. Mostly miss.
