Thanks for the great video! I am a data engineer planning to transition into data scientist role. I am already heavily using SQL, ETL for my daily work. I recently started to learn statistical methods through Stanford ISLP textbook and online courses to prepare for the master degree. I have few questions about data scientist position. 1. What are the typical interview questions for this position? 2. What's the most important skill for this position among communication, statistics and data visualization? 3. What features differentiate data scientists from ML engineer?

Dear Tim, Thank you so much for all of the time and effort that you put into this video. Watching it was extremely helpful and I am truly grateful. I am very enthusiastic about learning to become a Data Analyst and have already started learning. Before I dive even deeper and spend more time learning , I have a very important question that I am hoping that you have time to answer. I'm an American citizen living in Europe and I have a family of 4. We live in a very remote village and the nearest city is 3 hours away. Working remotely, from the start of my potential career, is super vital for me. Not because I just want to hang out at home, but because working away from home would be very difficult. My question "Is it possible for a future entry level Data Analyst to get a job remotely?" If you don't think that it is, then what field within IT would you say is my best option? Any advice would be super appreciated. Thanking you very much in advance!!!!! Regards, Fil

Using a maingear pre-built to make a diy nas server is so outrageously ridiculous 😂. I’d recommend buying an actual server cassis if you’re going the DIY route, they’re not that expensive, especially if you go with nothing fancy. I believe i spent a 100 euro’s on mine and most of them have fans on the harddrive cases. And you can just use old computer hardware for it. If you’re running into thermal issues with your harddrives, even with proper fans, you can select an option in unraid to spin them down when they’re not used. In the summer, even with fans blasting on full speed, if it runs continuously for months they can get quite warm. Having them spin down does wonders for thermals, I went from my harddrives going up to 80 degrees celsius to a breezy 22 degrees celsius. I don’t recommend doing this year round cause it’s bad for harddrive longevity, but cooking your harddrives isn’t great either. My 20 year old backup computer just died, i believe a transistor short circuited and it no longer turns on. It was my main computer for 5 years, and a nas unraid server for 10 full years, I was only turning it on now adays to run a full backup from my main server, that thing outlasted 4 different gaming systems. It was a rock, they don’t build computer hardware like that anymore, I’m very sad.
