Thanks for all the hard work you put into your vids Tim! I finally landed a full time job, but it’s not related to data analytics at all :/. I’m still practicing my skills and applying everyday though and this video helped a lot. Keep it up! Hopefully we both land a role we want soon 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Great video. Took me a minute to get the point of the Driver question with the two separate joins. I'm assuming that role is either a mid or senior level, not entry level. I do dislike when questions seem to be irrelevant to real life. Does anyone really write department salary queries on the job? Isn't that like something HR would be doing? I'm still trying to wrap my head around how many queries you actually write on a daily basis and how complex they get. The job market for entry level still learning data analysts feels non-existent. You're very inspiring, and super helpful educating us.

these were all entry level questions (1-2 years of experience) which sort of blew my mind 😭 yeah no one is really writing department salary queries LOL but its just to test and see if you know things like GROUP BY / Ranking Functions for number of queries it depends... usually the goal is just to pull data in the most efficient way possible so maybe like 1-2 complex ones thank you for the kinds words! I always appreciate your support! :D

Hey thanks so much for the video. Do you currently work at Amazon? Have you interviewed multiple times? Were you already employed there and had to do another interview for a different job? I'm just wondering how you've tested multiple times. Thanks again!
@TimothyJoo2 ай бұрын
sadly not working at amazon at the moment! I was interviewed multiple times just throughout the past year or so! Some through applying, others with recruiters reaching out, most with contract roles! overall just a wide variety

Should I drop out of cs? I'm only one semester in and can easily switch to something else. I was thinking healthcare since there is low competition , high demand, no outsourcing possibilities, and hard for ai to replace
@TimothyJoo3 ай бұрын
i wouldnt worry too much about AI replacing tbh, thats far from actually happening and not entirely realistic either! I wouldnt drop CS, thats a great major and devs are always gonna be needed
@ripsky75863 ай бұрын
@@TimothyJoo Thanks. I think I will be doing ee major + cs minor. Since there is overlap in skills and courses. This will also open more doors, and the ee is less likely to be outsourced. I can also move back into tech if I want to in the future. What are your thoughts?
