I'm still a bit skeptical about "Optimistic confirmations", by that mechanism, a low reputation chain (Chain A) can compromise a big one (Chain B), e.g. by cross swapping tokens between chain A and B. Then if the Chain A sequencer misbehaves, it enforces to potentially rollback 1 hour of transactions on Chain A, which IMO is insane
@trading82 күн бұрын
You fail to explain HOW it does all this. Do I put ETH in EigenLayer, or stETH? Where are the funds actually when they are used to secure multiple networks? At EigenLayer? Staked in the ETH network? If the latter, then how are they slashed if there is a misbehaviour in another network once they are already locked up in the Ethereum network? Or does it just use stETH? In that case it’s just a fancy hub for leveraged staking.

Hello, I have a question. In my Trust Wallet app, when I am going inside BTC, I can see the balance of BTC, under that - five action buttons: send, receive, buy, swap and sell and under that it is written “Inscription” with the same amount of BTC that I have. What is Inscription? Is it something bad?

I've been struggling with understanding what Eigenlayer is really all about for months now. And tags like 'AVS' hasn't been helpful either. But watching your video changes everything. In fact, I'm so interested in learning more about restaking on Ethereum rn. Thank you for putting this together. Solid work! You got a subscriber. Watching another video ASAP!

So is there actually a way to use ZK tech to prove info from my driver's license without revealing it? That would be a great use case that seemed to somehow morph into an unrelated example. Can Polygon ZK somehow give us that? Can I pay $10 each time I get a new driver's license and universally have that thing?

Ok, this is video #3 that I have watched on ZK proofs without really learning how they work. Where can I find the technical details??????

So if i understand correctly you will be able to access polygon L1 sidechain while using polygon's ethereum l2 zk roll up?

35:00. Why not use both decentralized and shared sequencers? Decentralized sequencer for work when you do NOT need interoperability, and use shared sequencer for work when you do need interoperability?

Hi, you did not use CDK at all, there are no customisations offered, you may as well call the video "how to use a RAAS" i would love to see where you selected prover type 1 or type 2 or chose which DA layer you want to use as you said all those options in the intro, a decentralised sequencer, wow, you are in future already

Hi, this is a great video to understand Polygon zkEVM, thank you for sharing! One question I have is that it seems that you can see transactions details through zkEVM Polygon scan, maybe this is very basic, but I thought all transactions with zk proof are completely private 😆, I think I miss something here, appreciate it if you can help shed some light on my confusion, thanks
@JarrodWatts2 ай бұрын
Thank you! ZK proofs have applications for privacy, such as hiding aspects of your identity. However, zk rollups don’t use them for privacy. Each transaction is completely visible on L2 and also gets sent to L1. They use ZK proofs to verify the validity of batches on Ethereum.
@sirnawaz2 ай бұрын
7:35. Why use such a complicated approach (like multiple communications and challenges) to prove that she indeed knows the secret. She could have entered into one side and come out of the other side. That proves the same thing, right? So why make it more complicated than it needs to be?
@JarrodWatts2 ай бұрын
Yea this example can be a little confusing sometimes. Essentially it’s setup in a weird way to showcase multiple rounds of interaction. If you changed the setup then you could likely do a single round, it’s just for example purposes
@sirnawaz2 ай бұрын
@@JarrodWatts Yes. I understand that after understanding non-interactive proofs. The example is deliberately made complicated to explain "interactive" proof. Thanks for the great video. I liked and subscribed it.
@okko7788Ай бұрын
@@sirnawaz I wouldn't say it's "complicated" but definitely confusing like he said.
