Falcam if you’re are in their f22/f38 quick release system, easy to switch from horizontal to vertical. Harsh to grip (a bit sharp edges). Smallrig a bit more versatile, very good and comfy to hold (full cage).

It also seems impossible to use the Bluetooth for any functions or you lose your phone connection, both cannot be used at the same time unfortunately. Either iPhone or Bluetooth focus motors but not both at the same time which is a bummer. Just got this rs3 2 weeks ago and would like to name some Con’s. The new way of attaching the focus rod is just stupid not to mention the 12mm rods it uses. The way you can only attach to the Arca Swiss plate is stupid since I have a cage with arca Swiss already and do not want to be forced to use the plate to mount my focus motor. 2. The lens support Y type attachment also does not reach any of my lenses bc the plate also makes it sit to high making it also useless.

@@ekphotography The "tap to focus" should work if you've connected your cam via Bluetooth to your RS3 in the same way, as you can start/stop recording via the red record button of your RS3. Im not aware if there are some limitations to that function, when it comes to "tap to focus" in regard to the RS3. If so, I think it has to with your camera, but if the tap to focus works on your camera, it should also translate to the record button of the RS3 too. In addition I use the M1 button to change between AF/MF. For that you have to set your function button #1 in your camera to this particular setting - AF/MF toggle, in this case. And then also set the M1 button in the RS3 settings to take over the cameras function button assignment.

@captainfilmmaking4 ай бұрын
hi, the overheating is a complex topic and depends on a couple of parameters like, outside temperature, humidity, direct sunlight, wind/air movement, frame rates, rig-configuration etc. So in the end you have to be very conscious about your own shooting scenario, to determine, if it will work out for you. What I have done, is that I use an active cooling unit from Tilta as a backup. It's a bit of a workaround, but I managed to get through a whole day of shooting a wedding in very hot and humid weather, with longer takes in 4K50. The above shoot in the forest (which you see in the video) was also a rather warm day with around 30 degrees Celsius. Here we hadn't the cooling system with us, did rather short bursts of around 30sek. or 1min takes in 4K50 and the ZV-E1 did great. No overheating or temperature warning.

Hi Cale, yes - they definitely have character! I thought about getting the sniper, but wasn’t 100% sure is the autofocus is that reliable.. How is your experience with the 7Artisan?
@CaleMcCollough4 ай бұрын
@@captainfilmmaking When you set the camera settings right the autofocus is fine, but I trust that a firmware update will fix that. Sometimes you just need autofocus and this is better than nothing; at least you can have two of the same focal length, one manual focus, one b-cam with autofocus. The Hope lenses have more of a clean bokeh like a Sony G Master lens, but not clinically sharp. Both Hope and Sniper lenses are sharp. If you only had one set of lenses you need to get the sharper set without the optical flaws. For my TV show I use different lenses for different story lines so you can tell by looking at the image what story line it is.

If image is to bright use ISO 800, or close down your aperture. - Polarizer filter useful when dealing with reflections of glass surfaces. - Yes, 18-50 ok for B-Roll (use preferably the tighter end 50mm) - The best software is the one which fits your workflow. I’m currently shooting in Cine EI but thinking I need to switch to flexible ISO mode instead to push the iso higher than 2500. But what settings are you using? Are you shooting in slog? Love this content! More real estate content with fx30 would be lovely
@captainfilmmaking5 ай бұрын
Hi! - Yes, color grading is an important factor. The key is to practise and train your eye on things which look good, and over time being able to create the image you're looking for. - Creating contrast in both color and light is one of many things you to keep in mind to get better results. - Correct and a slightly higher exposure then usual is also key with the FX30 to built the base for a proper color grade. Here follow the tips, how to get a bright image in the first place. - Yes, Slog3. When in low(or lower) ight S-Cinetone also works fine. - I Also shoot in flexible ISO, but usually don't go above 2500, as the FX30 is quite prone to noise. Cine EI doesn't offer much to my workflow. Shooting in XAVC S-I does. Some de-noise in post also helps to clean up the image and improve the quality. Hope that helps a bit! Best regards
