Mocking the “north” when we have Shakespeare, Paul McCartney, and Nottingham specifically has DH Lawrence. What does the south have JK ‘fuck the trannies’ Rowling? 😂😅

Except Ade is from Bradford and Rik was from Harlow in Essex, which he left when he was 3 when family moved to Worcester. Rik and Ade met at University of Bradford. But sure don't let the truth dislodge that chip on your shoulder. As you think acting and writing drama, especially comedy is easy, and there's no competition so any idiot can succeed, you're no doubt about to open at the Edinburgh Fringe. 😂

Seeing as they earned more than you ever will (after all, how else could your obvious jealousy be explained) and brought joy to millions, I’d say that they definitely had “proper jobs”.

Never heard of either of them …don’t see them lasting long . Just crude jokes and rubbish swearing . In the old days there were real comedians who didn’t even swear a word but were brilliantly funny .

so why comment? Rik Mayall is much missed by his fans. Ade is still with us, thankfully. As for them not lasting long, check Wikipedia to see how wrong you are!
@mastercommander45358 ай бұрын
@@alisondark8183 it’s worth mentioning that this continued reliance on curse words to raise a laugh has become endemic and cheapens us all . Fortunately I have never heard of either of them or seen them mentioned anywhere before this whereas there are comics from 80 years ago who are still replayed to this day .
@stickytapenrust68697 ай бұрын
@@mastercommander4535Relying on curse words was a thing decades before Rik Mayall was even born! You’d fucking faint if you ever walked into a northern Working Men’s Club of the 1930s!

To me, Bottom is the funniest TV program ever made. Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson are by far the funniest double act Great Britain ever produced. Rik has been gone for ten years now (and what a miserable ten years it's been). but, Like Laurel and Hardy, Bob Hope, Robin Williams, Peter Sellers, Tommy Cooper, Gene Wilder, Charlie Chaplin, George Carlin, and the few other genuine comic geniuses that have made us laugh so often, Rik and the others will always be with us via the miracle of film (and DVDs, digital files, and so on).
