The idea of have counter-units and counter-counter-units and dedicated role units should fade away from RTS... it's trying to turn the genre into a card game or something Be more like Broodwar where a unit's capabilities change as circumstances change. That kind of rich dynamics makes RTS great

The nice thing about this crusader gunbot meta is that it requires micro. Stutter stepping and moving the crusaders to the front is intensive.

What sucks is that you can't scout out what they are gonna build since there isn't other buildings. Game is neat but man they dumbed down RTS a lot more than I thought they would. There is so many elements stripped away. Its more like an arena game than a RTS

I have to say, I don't really understand the point of the negative comments people have saying this won't be a gateway game into more hardcore RTS for players. So what if it isn't? Players who don't use it as a gateway probably would not have played a hardcore RTS anyway... What is wrong with those players finding a place to belong? It isn't like the only reason for the game to exist is to convert all players to eventual SC2 pros. EDIT : For context I come from sportscar racing, and I see the same bias in that sport where people 'dont understand' why any of the lower level series exist if not to feed the pro series. As it turns out plenty of people who race have no aspiration or desire to commit to being a hardcore pro. There is nothing at all wrong with staying casual at something, even if other people make it into a hardcore sport.

Loving the content and the game l so far

just got my beta key today, and i'm loving it hope this game stays awesome all the way through till release

I'm really liking the combination of slightly higher TTK than SC2, and unit production being so fast you can get continuous reinforcements across the map. It takes good control to either keep the fights from getting messy or to flourish in the chaos. I just hope we get to see more back-and-forth without the game snowballing out of control as people get better at the game. It did happen a couple times in this set.

why is this labeled as RTS? Seems more like RTT (real time tactics). There's not much in the way of basebuilding or resource gathering, its all kind of automated

this game is literally impossible to win after silver. idk if it's just really smart bots playing every game or what. I'm diamond in SC2 and i feel like my ranked sc2 games are easier than silver battle aces. absolutely absurd.

after playing 6 hours I must say this game is fking awesome! its even better and more fun than I expected jesus I think this will click with many people eventhough I want the classic rts experience to prevail, I believe this simpler version of an rts will actually keep players engaged

The ability for people to immediately trash something now is wild. Feedback and criticism are exceptionally important, but tp mismanage expectations and assert criticisms disproportionate to the variables at hand for why a product this early in our hands may not be up to par is baffling. SC2 had its issues just as many others early in players hands. Time is either a curative or a culling, but to be shortsighted and not give the proper room of growth is not the way either. Either give it time to "cook" or be part of the constructive criticism at the conception. Just be willing to perhaps be a bit more open minded and willing to accept expectations may have been mismanaged, not entirely the game.
