I love it brother, I also want to put pedals on it, which ones would you recommend?

Damn, the everything I heard you do was so cool haha... I was gonna get the Jura synth first, but I might grab this one instead. I love classic analog sounds, but this is next level stuff. It's crazy to me this is just one instance of the plugin haha. Found the video late, but glad I did! Great work!
@FortressofSoundАй бұрын
Thanks so much! Yeah OPx4 is quite insane in the best way. Jura is just like it's grandpa Juno106. It's very good at basic sounds. The arpeggiator is nice because it's independent of the global arp.
@remyvegamediaАй бұрын
@@FortressofSound That classic analog sound is definitely a big part of my style, then the other part is weird FM textures and FM synth drums/percussion. Getting my go-to style of sounds into the MPC is my goal and it's nice to know it's fully within grasp now between Jura, Opx-4, and Fabric piano/electric. I make a combo of jazz-fusion, IDM, neo-soul, and wonky hip-hop haha Again, great presentation. I will definitely keep referencing it for learning when I get this plugin.

Me too! I got a V.keys because of this video. Never got to do anything this glorious with it. Made a few soaring synth leads but gave it away as I could never really get mine to tune with other synths. Either way I still come back every few months to check in on this gem.

Was super bummed this is the only one in what should be some type of ongoing series. So much character and what seemed like background. Is this part of something I've missed? You're the Uncle Derrick to Florian's James Rolfe. Also giving me some Spoony vibes. Anyways, as Dickens once wrote, "More, please."

Haha! I guess I didn't make those connections. I currently have another deep dive in the works, but this style of video takes a lonnnng time to produce. I never wanted to be a youtuber that HAS to make content, so these are all a labor of love. I appreciate the comment!

Delighted to find "transcript" when looking on my laptop. Was finding this video very interesting and informative but your voice was getting buried by the music, which kind of defeated the purpose of the video. Will go back to the start, pausing, rewinding, so I can absorb all the information you offer. I've enjoyed Hype but never made any sense out of the interface. Just twirled knobs at random with no idea at all what they actually did, or how to arrive at a sound I was hearing in my head. Thank you for this.

Fascinating stuff. It would be cool if the OPx4 had an oscilloscope to show us a representation of the tones, both instantaneous and progressive.

Definitely. Scopes on FM sounds are very interesting.

Is that Jerry singing? He's almost unrecognizable in his mop-top, sweater and glasses.

It’s not Jerry. It’s a college friend of theirs by the name of Fred Weber. A year later, they performed this with Jerry on vox instead.
