Are any of the OG 14’s wearable? Just wondering how they hold up . I’m pretty sure the moment u put pressure in em and maybe walk a little, the paint on the midsole will most likely squish, create lines and start to chip. But that doesn’t mean they unwearable, that’s cosmetic, I was wondering if actual crumbling or any other variable could occur making them unwearable. Let us know ! lol

@@ogorbust1697 yea my favorite Jordan of all time is the shadow 10 I have 3 pairs and I have 2 pair of the steel 10s lol they’re so beautiful and graceful with out the toe cap . They look more elegant and fresh with out it , with the toe cap like MJ was saying it’s to much going on you have to put them side by side and you’ll see like yea I get why Mike took the toe cap off it ruins the astatic of the sneaker 🤦🏽‍♀️

Binging on your videos recently. Great content. I had a question regarding the smell on the og 12s. I bought a deadstock pair of og flu games made in taiwan. Everything (but the strong chemical smell) seems to check out as authentic. Do any of yours have that smell? Do they even make fake og jordans?

love your videos. i have just started my jordan og collection recently and ive heard you mention in a couple of your videos how you use products and conditoners to maintain and care for your sneakers. what are your go to products and tips/trick to maintain your jordans in pristine conditon?

@mrmiketosis top priority is always climate control with temperature and humidity. I try to keep around 70 degrees and humidity 37-40%. Mother nature can be difficult at times with hot summers cold winter etc. Mink oil spray is always good to preserve leather and durabuck if materials need conditioning

Good comparison-thanks for the education. Did I notice a difference in the number of lace holes between the retro and the OG? I saw the retro had 7 whereas the OG has 8-would that be correct?

@alethaedwards1796 that's correct, the OG had 8, some of the retros jb is releasing has 7 but these new retros of met blue and natural grey are correct with 8

Good stuff man. my first ever pair of Jordans was the Military Blues back in junior high. I bought a pair in '06. They were meh. Tought a pair in '12. They were worse. HAD to buy the new ones. so far, I think they are pretty decent. the only thing (and I know all sneaker heads know this). They're lacking in the comfort department for the bottom of your feet. The OGs...most certainly WERE comfy. I replaced the insoles and boom, instantly more comfortable. Dig your content man. I'd love to see Nike re-release the Air Flight 89 or 90 high again or the Air Force 5 mid...loved those as well.

@GeoffSweet thanks for watching! Yeah, I agree on comfort with all my jordans I pretty much put in better insoles. They don't make them like they used to from materials to build and comfort. At least some improvement on this release, still far off the OG

@@ogorbust1697 agreed, but I'm glad to see Nike making st least an attempt to re-create their old magic. Now, that being said, I have their new Jordan 38...and can tell you, they are fantastically comfortable. Completely stock.

As an owner of both ogs and retro, I have no idea wtf is up with that sole, it's so curved like a banana 🤦‍♂ But from what I've read, they're based off Pippen's PEs (the red & white pair) which had that shape

I believe those had white panels painted blue so it had the white edge.. Definitely looked nice!

Depends on the factory. Some leather looked more white others looked same color as my unc ogs are blue. I've seen plenty of chicagos white edged for example or red

The OG 6s look so much better than Retros, which are still nice, but the shape and little details make a difference. To me, it looks like the AJ6 Retros haven’t changed much. Its like JB is trolling dropping meh to ugly colorways for the 6s instead of a proper retro for at least the White Infared and Sport Blue.

The '24 toe still looks like a boat. The whole overall shape is off. Why is it so hard to create the same thing...?? I had two og pairs in the early '90. Best looking runner ever. 😍

For me I just can’t do it, the dark edges on the leather really ruin the vibe imo. Maybe it’s the shape being visually broken up into segments by the dark edges vs the shape of the shoe as a whole. Sick review!

It's simply not a better quality leather. Well off top grain. The low natural grey is best stuff JB has put out recently with leather

these DB JORDAN 1 are definitely beautiful when it comes to the cuts , shape , materials, etc.. i Just had today that u are so NIT PICKEY of other shoes on ur vids, even the littlest things u point out you totally destroy the details lol how r u not more upset that the fact they couldn’t even get close to the actual shade of UNC blue. There’s Such a big difference, any other shoe u would be like “ the brand can’t even get the shade right “ blah blah blah. You just love the DB Jordan 1s , so u definitely cut them a break from your pickyness / and yes I know u mentioned that the color is not the same shade but I’m just saying you would really go HAM if Jordan brand did something like this with one of their retros. Lol😂sorry long sales comment 😂 I had to say it

..as I've mentioned before also with OG 1s depending the factory the colors of blue, red etc are different. My royals were two completely different shades. With OGs there is wiggle room with shades of color but yes, these are lighter for sure than any other OG factory. DB strives for improvements with each release unlike jordan brand and that's the frustrating part when they have more than enough resources in archives and of course the budget. As I've said before JB, will fix one thing and mess up another 2 details that were fine on previous retros.. that's why I'm a hard critic on the brand at times. Other times they have some great releases.. they should ALWAYS be striving to improve each release which we see with a lot of custom makers but not Jordan Brand.

These are really nice. But I passed on them because I felt like the colorway on their sample was closer to the OG. Still think it looks really nice however. I’m really interested to see how the Shadows will look since they seem to improve with every colorway
