There was some controversy with this match. The referee had asked Falk if the hold hurt and Falk replied in the affirmative. He didn’t quit or submit. A return match was ordered in Lubbock with Bronco Lubich officiating the match. The match ended in a 30-minute draw.

35:40....Nick lookin cocky, grin on his mug, feeling pleased with himself, fattened, semi-firm tenting of his trunks...Tito dazed, droolin, and draped on the ropes like a limp, tattered, dish-rag after having his face SMASHED into the turnbuckle TWICE...And the Ref, pretending to feign concern about Tito's well-being, but at the same time being extremely lenient on Bockwinkel's use of Tito's hair as a head-handle... Tito is in His hometown here, I wonder how many guys in the crowd, were guys that he attended high school with, coaches, gym teacher...Now look at the pic here again...How humiliating, degrading for Tito to have ALL those guys seeing him like this...I wonder what was going through the minds of the guys that didn't really care for him in school? 🤔
