I am not sure how it took so long for people to realize the song was about the crash - the first time I heard the song I knew it was about that - the emotion in the music reeks of that event...

24 hour room service started at the waldorf- Astoria because Sinatra asked for a bottle of Jack Daniels at very late hours. Sinatra had cole porters former suite and played cole porters piano for years.

Sinatra was an extremly abusive drunk, not patient when recording or making movies and was known to dissappear from movie sets. Directors hated him. Many said he would have been much better at acting if he worked at it. The mob actually forced the studio to hire Sinatra for the role he won an academy award for ironically.

Sinatras mother was politically connected helping lots of people get jobs and was a mid wife who was arrested for performing 7 abortions.

Sinatra was arrested for promising marriage for sex from a young lady and not keeping his promise. Which is why that cool mug shot exists.

Been a fan from the beginning. He has such an array of great songs to choose from. I appreciated his live performances - always absorbing and well worth attending. Can't say I have an absolute favourite album or song - varied over the decades. Schools Out is just a legendary anthem - like Staircase to Heaven for Zeppelin.

Man, Jimmy Page can't control feedback, and that's the reason why he didn't use it. You gotta have rhythm using that feedback Bro not by weird noise without a groove.

Tom never went in the room above the garage. Tom also stated that he went at night and it was raining so hard he could not even tell there was a room above the garage and that is why it wasn’t checked. W lot of the missing and misinformation in this video could be remedied by watching soaked in bleach.

The reason why the FBI had a file on Frank Sinatra it's because of his connection to the Mob. But there was so much more than that. Because Frank Sinatra had access to microphones in the public and if he ever had started to say something the government didn't like they wanted info on him to put him down quick. That's the way the FBI works

I saw this recently on an episode of “Death By Fame” from Investigation Discovery. I’m so glad I learned about this beautiful and talented young woman. I was able to find her channel and be touched even more by her beautiful voice. Her brother Marcus and her dad speaking on the show was heartbreaking, especially given that Marcus and her were so close and that he was there when she died. Not to mention their mom/wife passed away of cancer also. 😢 This beautiful girl would have gone so much further I’m sure if her life hadn’t been cut short so tragically. I know she will continue to touch people worldwide with her voice and soul. Horrible what this sick individual took away from her family and from the world. My husband and I watch a lot of true crime and certain stories stick with me, this one certainly did. RIP Christina.

The mob owned the clubs, liquor distribution, controlled who played in the circuit, record distribution and controlled your meal ticket as well as protection. Frank was hedging and protecting his bets. Who wouldn't.

so sad too, Im a 60yo guy and one of my favorite songs Ive ever heard is "the last resort" sung by helney. about a year ago I had a chat with beato and learned about henley. researching for myself afterwords I was quite heartbroken. Forever I blamed Frey for the split but now I wonder if my hero wasnt the underlying problem.

My maternal grandmother was a lifelong resident of Bayonne, New Jersey, which is very close to Hoboken. Frank Sinatra's ties to the mob were common knowledge to the locals. But the larger picture is that the mob had a hand in alot of businesses in that area. Did so for generations in Jersey.

@@ROOTSMUSICHISTORY thanks ! Not meaning to get into any flame wars, here but the controversy surrounding Mike Jeffery is all based on lies and unsubstantiated rumors, based on the fact that he's conveniently dead. There are two Hendrix blogs / websites who have actually tracked down Jeffery's British Military records, and this confirms that there is no evidence what so ever of Jeffery ever being in MI5 / MI6 working with the CIA or any other COINTELPRO western intelligence agencies. The links and the post have now been posted above -

Tom Grant has been very vocal that he WAS there April 8th and he told the detective in charge that he and dylan had been in the house twice in the last few days and he had information which could be important, but the detective wasn't interested because he decided it was suicide. Even the chief of police at the time has said protocol was not followed and the case needs to be reopened! You need to watch Soaked In Bleach. I agree I think Courtney was trying to frame Tom, but I think it's unfair to imply Tom was anything but professional. He even sent Courtney a letter basically telling her he's not giving this up, even if she's not paying him. I think Tom Grant is straight and honest and has given all his evidence to the FBI, who have changed the cause of death status from suicide, to undetermined in 2021!

Despite my objection to Sinatra's conduct, the FBI spending all those resources on an ongoing investigation seems like a misplaced priority, bordering on the obsessive. Were they trying to compete for limelight in the press? Whatever Sinatra might have been he was not the nation's most notorious criminal.

As a male musician and technologist I was never comfortable with being around predatory men conquering women, which was rampant in my unlucky experience. There was some unwritten code or competition I could never understand that was expressed by bragging. Hush money for illegal harassment paid out by companies, misallocation of corporate funds for illicit entertainment, and screaming fights and rage quitting in the corporate offices were observed, but the cause was never able to be proven. If the financial officers are in on it, there's probably no hope. Once a Board of Directors gets tired of scandals crossing a line and causing negative press they might act, but they generally wink and ignore. Sinatra's reputation ruined my appreciation for his artistry. That's not always the case for me, but I cannot help not wanting to patronize anyone so widely reputed to be involved with violent and predatory people. I appreciate you covering this story, thank you.

The FBI - an entirely unnecessary and monstrously intrusive and unelected law enforcement oligarchy -- were investigating just about anybody and everybody. Doesn't mean there was a valid reason for doing so. We all now know how cray cray J Edgar Hoover really was the whole time. Everybody in the entertainment industry rubbed shoulders and other body parts with mobsters. They are still in total control of the entire music recording industry and quite likely a good portion of the film industry as well. Are we gonna do some dossiers on the most popular entertainers of today and their connections to nefarious characters? Can't wait to see that!
