Nice truck! What's your MPG? Maybe if you put 2 fans hanging from above, it will help keep the windows from fogging up.

Were aloud 63.500 kgs on five axle or super b.s. Plus winter they allow us a percentage for snow ice build up so most of time your scaled in at 65.000it's to over 72.000kgs in winter that goes for round wood 8 ft 16 ft and tree length same for wood chips which are usually always super b.s. That's in North western Ontario log trailers are usually 4 bunk we don't haul 8 ft the old way anymore it's loaded like 16 ft lot safer

I am a logger, not a trucker. I am relaying this question for an 8yo Amish kid with health issues. We here in PA have 8 speed & a few 9 speed log trucks. I read somewhere in the PNW they use 13 & 18 speeds. His questions is what is the most powerful engine you can put in an 8 speed log truck?

I have had four Cascadia trucks, between April 2012 and July 2018, with Hendrickson AIRTEK steer axles, at my old company Metropolitan Trucking LLC. Not one of them lost alignment while I had them, and the last one had 374 thousand miles on it when I left for Landstar. I'll swear by them. I'm also running Michelin XDN2 drives on my own truck right now.

My western star has terrible vents too, things are just crammed behind that dash and they're just not lined up. Just buff in some shaving cream, the old school white creamy foam, you won't even need a defroster after that, lasts about 2 weeks in the winter per application. I like your herd, I got the Truck Defender 3" pipe Forman. Same quality, little cheaper, they're out of Vale SD. I've got 200k on my 2021, only problem I've had was coolant leaks but it the APU leaking.

Most logging brokers or companies want experience your usually driving down roads wide enough for 1 I always thought Bush was safer then highway all good professional drivers it's not an easy line of trucking to get into just the weight alone a lot of wood chips trucks or log trucks are as heavy as a tandem trailer loaded when there empty

It’s not a Detroit anymore it’s a Benz engine with a Detroit badge, Do you honestly think a trucker wants a powered by Mercedes badge on an American truck. Well they did on the smaller pantyliners.Last real Detroit was The series 60. I have seen that many pantyliners repowered to Cummins it isn’t funny .. when these DD crap came out, injectors 6k each and a turbo 11k. It’s was costing more than a new crate motor.

First 20k down on my Star Car with a DD16 and my only complaint is the fuel mileage. The 60 series was always my favorite engine regardless of the "shipping container" it was bolted to. I'll say this, im a Texan but any truck good enough for Canadians is good enough for me 🍺
