He covers everything from the emissions systems to the basics of doing an oil change on the DD16/15. This is the first of three videos I made when taking delivery of my new Western Star. Cummins is the BEST diesel motor on the market today. All others are only a WISH to be as good as Cummins!!

@@jimjim6803 Only for whiners like YOU! I have had the best luck with Cummins along with several friends and acquaintances. The X15 has the BEST success record of all engines today.

No the dd series engines are the best because they are mercedes engines. No one does diesel better than benz

I have both. Have had decent luck with both engines in a few different trucks. DD-16’s will pass the X15’s.

It’s not a Detroit anymore it’s a Benz engine with a Detroit badge, Do you honestly think a trucker wants a powered by Mercedes badge on an American truck. Well they did on the smaller pantyliners.Last real Detroit was The series 60. I have seen that many pantyliners repowered to Cummins it isn’t funny .. when these DD crap came out, injectors 6k each and a turbo 11k. It’s was costing more than a new crate motor.

First 20k down on my Star Car with a DD16 and my only complaint is the fuel mileage. The 60 series was always my favorite engine regardless of the "shipping container" it was bolted to. I'll say this, im a Texan but any truck good enough for Canadians is good enough for me 🍺
