Absolutely a cowboy. Never being a floorlayer of any description. This is why professional floorlayers can't get work but then have to go and sort out these butchers work after they have gone and it looks fucking shit . Nice try but no golden ticket

Good job eddy, only criticism is underlay should be gripper to gripper over each step to stop Heel and Toe ware on the back of each riser. Take care

The only thing should be paying more attention is the carpet gripper which must be stable .

It’s better to start at the top and go downward you can get the carpet tighter and you always want a piece of carpet to end hidden under nose not at the bottom of the kick plate

The real way to do this is put the cut piece upside down and trace cut it to the flow of the wall. Never cut side to factory.

The pile direction is wrong. The pile must run down the steps not across. 😢 you should always fit these steps independently unless you are fitting a runner, then you have to fold the carpet so as the pile runs down the stairs. You will find that the carpet manufacturer will not guarantee any carpet fitted this way.
