Omg! I caught two banjo sharks by hand the other day! Amazing and they had beautiful patterns it’s like a family tradition for my family to catch these guys!

So you use a western port style running rig?…. They seem to go good in ppb…. I might give it a try instead of the unweighted silver whiting
@axemansfishingadventures20 күн бұрын
Yes, mate. I used to use a ball sinker, right to the hook, but I'm finding this rig seems to be working pretty well. Give it a try with a couple of rods and see how you go👍🎣

Thanks, mate, much appreciated and same to you and your family. Tight lines and be safe on the water👍🎣
@PulauSwan25 күн бұрын
It is odd, that you control your rod with your right hand but you do not reel with your left hand . My grandpa told me back in the sixties, if you cast with your right hand , reel with your left, and vice versa . He also said , " never bet on a horse with a jockey on it" . Sound advice . Tight lines lads

Nice vid and a huge effort on WPB, good catch on the trevs they have soft mouths, if you rush you generally lose them, showed your old man up there but he did a good job on the net for the team. Nice bag and reward for effort, a spike and float can sometimes turn those grass whiting into big squid and a good use of your time on the change of tide. Very good prep, all the right gear and plenty of bait options and you guys put in the time, thanks for sharing top vid great effort and I’m sure the feed was as delicious as it was fun catching
@axemansfishingadventuresАй бұрын
Thanks Paul, much appreciated. A great day on the water with my son. Never really caught grass whiting before, once on a charter, many years ago. Heard they are also a pretty good gummy bait. Yes, we had a great feed on that haul. I wished we'd caught some squiddies though. I did manage one trev, but missed the footage. Hopefully out on the snapper next 👍🎣

I don’t know if cod season was closed when you made the video… can you use lures for cod in closed season? Though this is a good video and thanks for sharing. I suggest camping and fishing at Delatite arm. Plenty of fish there 🎣 that’s always my go to camping spot, great bank fishing for reddies and carp. I’m still looking for a cod as I have never caught one.
