Just bleaching out the color back to "normal oil" does not mean it is any useful for use as a motor oil again. AT LEAST some viscosity testing at -20°C and 100°C would be necessary to show some relevant properties.

You have to add viscosifiers to maintain different viscosities.

what is difference between activated bleaching earth and fuller earth. from, where I purchased activated bleaching earth. I found Fulller earth instead of activated bleaching earth. Can Fuller earth will work to bleach Canola Oil?? please reply.

Fuller earth is natural montmorillonite smetic clay,its totally organic . While Activated Bleaching earth is chemical product that is produced by reaction with different types of chemicals . Its main purpose is to bleach/decolor/refine oils ,lubricants ,waxes etc.

Your explanation are cool... however, I want to ask what is the volume of oil been treated to which the 6g bleaching earth is added? In other words, what is the ratio of oil to bleaching earth. Also, what quantity of the acid is added, you only gave concentration (7%w) if I understood that well.

Degree of activation will be poor in this case ,on the other hand heating will cause bentonite stucture & Bonding to expand and change ions on quicker rate.

How long must you heat it when it gets to 220 degrees Celsius? I’m talking about the minutes or hours and can you add the sulphuric acid to the oil and then heat it to 320 degrees C as you said or you’ll have to heat it to 320 degrees and then wait till it cools down to 50 degrees before you add the sulphuric acid, and for how long must you heat it when it gets to 320 degrees? Thank you sir.

You just have to touch the highest temprature no need to continue heat on that temprature just reach that temprature then cool it down
