One thing a lot of people miss is that the side signal by itself doesn’t actually have any stereo separation. It is just as mono as the mid. It has to be, cause it”s one channel. If you mute the mid and decode, you still can’t tell which instruments are supposed to be on the right or left. It will, however, suck your brain out through your ears if your not careful. The side signal must be mixed with the mid to have any real L/R position information. When you change their relative levels away from unity in either direction, you start to lose that.

This gentleman solved my issue. The reaper media window < make new database worked for my samples that were "missing files" upon loading a saved project. This was for JST sample packs in my case.

Hi Myk! Honestly I did not mess around with containers until now. I did not see the need to make my own channel strips, because I like the 3rd party ones I have, though I dig the idea of this being possible. THEN it occured to me that I can make my own containers including several types of one effect, like several reverbs, several tape emulations, several go to compressors, so I can reach for them (via my own toolbar icon, ha!), to try them out. So: if I already know, I am gonna need some type of saturation, but cannot decide which one yet, I can insert my saturation container (all the fx muted to be safe) and try them one by one and this is super quick and super convenient, and I like it and wanted to thank you for the inspiration.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner-I had this same issue. I hope you didn't buy RePitch-it sucks and their support is terrible. There is a whole thread on gearslutz with users that have never gotten responses from SA on vocalign, and in addition for me, repitch. I've had whole songs' repitch data lost to the point where I've gone back to Melodyne. SA used to be amazing, then they got bought by LANDR, now they suck. Not recommended at all. The only company I've ever dragged online because they absolute deserve it-check their socials for others doing the same. I'm guessing they haven't followed up...
