I thought trying to get a race motor in a drag car was complicated. But this reloading crap is way worse. They should provide nerve medicine with this reloading stuff! Not worth the money and effort to reload

For someone who doesn't shoot a lot (x4 or x5 a year maybe) would you recommend a MEC 600 Jr. or just a Lee Load All 2? Would like to load #4 Buck up to #00 Buck mainly.

I would go with the Lee load all Carl. It’s so easy to use and to be honest, produces better consistent results!

That's an awesome video. very thorough. I watched a few of the MEC videos, and they explain very little. I am looking forward to adjusting my press.

Been wanting to get back into reloading for years now and remembered how you simplified everything. Was going out of my mind trying to figure out my Mec last night crushing hull after hull. So grateful you did this. Timeless tutorial! I watched your vid and pretty much nailed the first one after wrecking a dozen. I'm almost giddy!

Glad to help Timothy. Videos have moved on hugely. I didn’t have expensive film stuff, just thought I’d pass on my trials in the hope it might help one or two people. Atb to you. Marc.

Great video! Only thing I do differently is to adjust the drop charge/rammer to seat against a wad that's been inserted with no powder in the hull. In that manner, when powder is in the hull, taking up a bit of space under the wad, the spring tension on the rammer will engage. That spring tension (if reasonable) does not hurt a thing. However, should I fail to charge a hull for some reason, I'll be alerted to the mishap though lack of spring tension as I seat the wad. Modern wads do not need any "tension" at all, but it doesn't hurt nor disrupt things in the final shell assembly. All in all, a great video!

Convinced me not to start reloading. That MEC did not pre-set this to a readily adjustable 2-3/4" or 3" hull is mind boggling. Like buying a car and having to first adjust your brakes. What a mess.

Thank you Sir, Well Done. I recently acquired a 600 Jr. at a garage sale, and saw it lacked a few parts. It came without a manual, but a quick look on-line found the exploded views and assorted paperwork. I had to hand a laminator, so once that was dealt with I had a semi-permanent reference to keep with the machine. After a quick parts order, it was assembled, but then, what to do for good loads? Your video has answered my questions on all adjustments, and precisely done. I will be ordering the appropriate charge bars and bushings as I get things sorted. Thanks much!

Ok the clip is out of focus and needs more illumination but if you are trying to set one up, it is easy enough to follow what it is all about. Well that is if you have got a couple of brain cells. He sounds like a nice bloke.

Thanks for the video, I appreciate your issues but I have found over the years for consistency the following should be adhered to, use the same make of hulls, be consistent on wad choice, if you want to load a different guage buy a second machine. Then a great deal of set up wont be necessary.

Not impressed with your vidio, you need more light on the parts of the machine you are talking about. This machine is the simplest reloading press you can use. I have five MEC 600 JR's I put them all together with out looking at the directions. Very simple machine! I think you made a big deal over nothing. J
