TV Trivia Alert: Sending of a drone from a car to scout ahead was something featured in the Sixties TV series, THE GREEN HORNET, starring Van Williams and Brue Lee. The 'Flying Scanner" was launched from its 'hangar' in the trunk of the Hornet's "Black Beauty" armored limo to track escaping bad guys from a distance. Once the hideout was pinpointed, the Scanner returned to its roost and the mission proceeded. Being a fan of that old TV show as a kid, I find it interesting that grown men are excited to see this made-up gadget come-to-life (finally)! It's about dang time!

What episode is this?

I'd start with looking for a bad switch or relay. They can go high resistance and cause voltage drop. The lower the voltage, the higher the current and you start burning wires and other switches and relays. My old Dakota kept burning up headlight and high low switches. It took me awhile to figure out the start switch was bad and causing a huge voltage drop. Replacing that fixed everything.

I've laughed like James before and it was during his Man Lab show with the artwork / sketches for Cassandra and honestly I laughed so hard, I went weasey like James, got cramp in my stomach and almost gave myself a migraine because my jaw hurt so much and my temples were pulsating.
