The entire soundtrack from this movie feels like a long goodbye. I was able to watch it in a theater back in the day, over 30 years ago, and it was such a fantastic experience.

I grew up watching this alot as a boy.😊

I was 17 when this hit the airwaves. Liked the show, the characters, the space saga story, the Egyptian style helmets, guess they where hinting at that their ancestors visited earth in ancient times. It was pretty wild how the viper would shoot out of the launch tube with that very extremely loooong exhaust flume. Thought it was going to burn all of its fuel up. Prob. a lot of guys back then fantasized about meeting and hooking up with Sheba ( Anne Lockhart ), me included. Oh well I guess a lonely boy can dream. In 1980 I even bought one of those fake knockoff colonial warrior jackets( but didn't know it at the time) from the back of Starlog magazine I believe. When it arrived it was med thick cotton and drab olive green, NOT brown like the TV show. And it lost it's shape after 2 or 3 machine washings ! Yeah my family and I used to watch and enjoy this show in it's first and only season 78'-79'. I specifically remember the episode were they were down on a ice planet to destroy a Cylon super weapon and avoid being detected by those chrome headed toasters. it was a nail biting 2 parter I believe.Yeah those were some fond memories. Wish I could go to Comic Con or a convention and meet the rest of the surviving cast.

Much as I love the groundbreaking effects work on the original Star Wars, it’s amazing how quickly the Galactica effects team (many of whom also worked on Star Wars) upped their game on Galactica. The fighters whizzing around Galactica were spectacular when compared to the fairly static shots of the X-Wings and TIE Fighters. Not diminishing the work on Star Wars, it changed everything and laid the groundwork for Galactica, but you can see the improvements made in camera movement and compositing in Galactica that would carry on into the spectacular model effects work just five years later on Return of the Jedi.

I'd kill for an Athena (Maren Jensen) compilation. 😍

B1 Battle droids allied with Imperial stormtroopers would pose a serious threat to the Borg invasion when combined in large groups, 100 troopers invaded the borg hive to demolish 👸 the Stormtroopers and Battledroids are reprogrammed by a tactical military droid centralized computer. They rely upon heavy numbers to overwhelm their enemy but are moderate poor quality on the battlefield. The borgs, on the other hand, are smarter, better quality strategies. No Sith inquistor is allowed 😤 in this duel fair fight.
