How did they manage to squeeze both the graphics and the audio samples into only 64K ? Amazing!
@EquinoxeZXКүн бұрын
In 64KB intros, developers use specific compressors to reduce the size of music, graphics, and effects. They utilize small, compressed samples for sound, and graphics are optimized to take up less space. Additionally, they generate effects procedurally through code. It's an art and a challenge to fit so much content into just 64KB!

Hey, that was a great find! Identifying the song from the sample wasn’t easy. I’ll add it to the list as soon as I sort out the character limit issue. Thanks a lot for the info and feedback!

I will never understand the Atari Freaks. Ok, it's their life they're wasting. Why use something better when there's something worse?

Atari demos are actually excellent. Shit Atari port was actually the badge of quality on Amiga. Those games didn't have parallax scrolling etc... But otherwise they were usually excellent conversions.

I was always pro-Amiga during the Amiga vs Atari ST era. As I loved composing music on the various Amiga trackers around in the late 80s / early 90s. But these tunes are still awesome! 🎶🎶

@EquinoxeZX15 күн бұрын

The CPC version only shows 4 colors simultaneously on the screen compared to the 256 that this one can display, and the resolution on the CPC is lower (or it seems so). In any case, the CPC version is a very good version.
