Miku has used a variety of Zemaitis guitars before the "Flappy Pigeon". Probably the 1st was the MFG-AC-24 or MFG24 (black, in this MV), she has also used "Aces and 8's" (Miku loves poker, finished 2nd in a tournament in Japan), the "Buccaneer" (distinct round metal disc), I believe she has used 2 different mother-of-pearl faced models ($10,000 USD's a pop). Probably my favorite is her "V" guitar, for me, aesthetically fits her. She just looks so f'n rock and roll when she is playing it, that one makes its first appearance in the MV for "Manners" or Day of Maid DVD/Bluray. At their 10th Anniversary show at the end of 2023 at Yokohama Arena, Miku debuted her newest signature Zemaitis, It's still kind of a mystery. No official release yet that I know of, but the coolest thing is that it has pigeons inlaid in the fretboard like a PRS. She also uses a couple different acoustic guitars also from Zemaitis. For a "rhythm" guitarist to have 2 signature models and a large arsenal of axes is quite impressive. Malcolm Young she is not, meaning, I think I've only seen him play that same guitar for ever. 🤘

At this point; - MISA is using 5 string bass. - Kanami changed her guitar to PRS, from Addictone. - Miku using her second ZEMAITIS disc fronted guitar - Tiny hat still present 😊

The live version of this you want, if you can find it, is from their 2017 Studio Coast show. They closed the show with it and even though it's the same song they played it with such intensity I think they were trying to knock the venue down.

Thrill was their first hard rock song (and it saved the band), but Real Existence was the REAL start of the rest of the band's career, IMO. Much more similar to what followed: the thrashy energy, the changed second verse, Akane going nuts, etc.

MISA, MISA, MISA! love her bass part in this song! It's Band-Maid, btw, not Band//Maid or BANDMAID, just sayin.

Interesting observation... yes, there might be a slight similarity to Gacharic Spin/Doll$Boxx in YOLO... both bands (Gacharic Spin and Band-Maid) were on the Naon No Yaon Fest 2016 lineup, both bands even posed for photos together after the show, so Kanami should know Hana's work. But to be completely honest and as a fan of all three bands, I think it's purely coincidental.

"Yolo" is technically their oldest song, Kanami wrote it before she was in Band-Maid, she re-vamped it for the band. A bit of advice Kyle, put the hyphen in Band-Maid in your titles - it doesn't come up on search. You will get more views I promise! I only found it by accident six hours after upload. Oh and Kanami didn't have her tongue out, she had her pick in her mouth!

This single just reached Number 1 US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands, insane! They cut the final part when Su said louder "Thank you Nico and Kevin from Electric Callboy" and all of them hug each other just like they did it again at Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring recently. Fun fact: One of the singers said that it was kinda hard to do that dance move with the hand while moving the head at the beginning. Also at the end, during the third chorus, which btw was a BM suggestion to include (EC didn't want a third chorus), in the MV you can see them doing the same dance move waving theirs arms up and down, they wanted to do it in the live version but they failed and quit when starting with the wrong foot lol EC played this at Sweeden Rock recently and oc it wasn't the same without our girls, still cool thou ngl. After that they played with BM together once again last weekend at Rock Im Park during EC setlist and later at BM setlist with the girls wearing new badass outfits, they also did it at Rock Am Ring twice and there are two cool proshot clip already. Hey Kyle Another new band alert. BAND MAID has been the best find for me in years and I haven't listened to much more since discovering them. But on the weekend I found a band called "The Sixsters". No comparison to BAND MAID as they are in a league of their own. However, The Sixsters are a band everyone needs to hear (in my opinion). A five piece all female group from Ukraine - I read they were in Germany now because of the war in Ukraine Try "Feels" - "Hold" - "Fever" - "City" ... and there's more. WELL worth a listen.
