Technically, the novels establish that the blades of chaos also absorb life force from enemies and use it to strengthen and heal Kratos. They also served to give him various boosts to his stats. But the blade of Olympus is a more powerful weapon and should be the better one to use. Anyway, i watched the premiere of the death battle, so no worries

Probably the most disrespectful DB was too Asura. Like they got his character wrong, then again they also got Kratos's character wrong. His daughter witnessed him dying and is clearly grieving, but Kratos gave zero fu*ks and left her. And even the alternate ending focused more on Kratos then Asura, Even though according to Boomstick it was his pitch for a sequel to Asura's Wrath, even though we're primarily focused on Kratos. And people are saying DB gave Asura so much respect, and I'm just like where was the respect? Either people are blind to the truth, or they refuse to admit the problems this fight has.

Nice reaction mate! Solid episode to start off with in 2025. However, the next time is a fight that I have been dreading to occur but happy for everyone else who is getting a fight they want. Now time to research Johnny and Al!

Guerrero manages to match Asura's canon sounds REALLY well, and bear in mind that the canon English VA for him, Liam O'Brian, damaged his throat from all the screaming. And I really like that they advertised the voice actors in the final trailer for this fight! Usually they only do that when we have really big names like Chris Sabat, so it's good to see smaller actors get their due as well. Oh yeah, the part about the girl who looked like Mithra--the Seven Deities didn't know she even existed. They bombed the area because Asura was there. If they HAD known she existed, and why Asura kept hanging out with her, her fate likely would have been a LOT worse. Insisting that Uranus MUST scale to Chakarvartin because they're both universal creators is a REALLY weird move on Death Battle's part, especially since creation doesn't apply to a battle! It's a very strange thing to claim. Ooh you should watch some playthroughs. Or discussions of them--Bumbles McFumbles has a really good video about Asura, and Overly Sarcastic Productions has done some about GoW.

Honestly I love the fact that despite these two Represent the Wrath of the gods, the ending fight is ... very peacefull, both on Kratos and Asura End.

I like that they showed alternate endings. But sometimes the canon ending is just the true canon. Plus, Kratos finally got his win after 11 years… can’t say the same for Spawn since he’s about to fight Nick Cage.

Hope they do more alt. endings like Kratos’ (the ending felt more cathartic, as Asura got the QTEs and Kratos got to be with his family again, in comparison to the canon ending where it was all a misunderstanding, Kratos is just stuck there now and has no motivation/goal like other DB combatants, and Asura will just come back days/years later.) As for next time, I like both so it’s hard to say and I’m not 100% familiar with everything they’ve been through (hoping for Ghost Rider, since Nic Cage, but I think Spawn has more feats, versatility, and might have more forms?) Ghost Rider does have Penance Stare, but Thanos tanked it and I feel like Spawn could as well, because of his mentality. I wouldn’t mind if this wouldn’t have an alt though, since Spawn and Ghost Rider might not have a lot of emotional weight like this one, unless they’re fighting over a method to bring back a loved one (also, Marvel is known for What Ifs and all that, so it could fit.) Another thing I liked, was that they gave more attention to the lesser known entity and encourage more support for it (Asura’s Wrath 2 would be neat.)

This was an amazing episode.

I like the alternate endings tbh, especially in episodes with THIS quality. We got it only in BowsEgg and KrAsura, which definitely deserved alternate endings (BowsEgg has multiple of them that's how GOATED it is)

Now that was a great episode. Probably number 4 for me, but number 1 is still Scooby vs Courage, which ironically had a good reference to Asura's Wrath. The alt ending of the episode was a nice surprise, I kind of thought, story-wise it was better, but I have to say Kratos wins for the reasons they gave. A LOT better than I expected. TBH, I am not to big on this one because I have no attachment to either. But the run downs and fight were perfect. Captured both well, and did a good way and doing both sides justice. Overall a 10/10 for it's presentation and animation. But I will say I might have liked it more had I been more invested in both of them and was a fan of them. I don't think either are awful characters, but I am still not a huge fan of either, but this episode showed exactly what both should be like. Awesome episode. Really hope to see some more goofy ones in the future though. This was a lot of fun, but episodes like Scooby vs Courage and Bowser vs Eggman are my favorite type. Probably my favorite serious episode was this one, but still. I mean I love a good cool match, like Bloom vs Will (Winx vs W.I.T.C.H.) or Solgaelo vs Amaterasu (Pokémon vs Okami), but I really want to see some sillier things like a battle of the comedic Batman parodies Darkwing Duck vs Larry-Boy (Disney vs VeggieTales) Also, I love how we previously had Kratos vs Spawn, and now Kratos returns and IMMEDIATLY after that Spawn returns.

Honestly, Eggman's biggest hurdle here wasn't even the possible power-up combinations Bowser & the Koopa Troop could use. It was the various "undead" Bowser has under his command. Even the most basic Dry Bones is incredibly difficult to put down and _keep_ down, let alone the likes of the Boos, King Boo, and Dry Bowser himself. IMO, the only feasible way Eggman could win once Bowser's undead entered the picture would have been if Eggman could have somehow roboticized Bowser, but even then Kamek, Bowser Jr., or even Bowser himself would probably be able to just undo it. Eggman has never really had to deal with undead before, while Bowser literally has undead minions and can even _resurrect his own corpse_ as Dry Bowser. Eggman might have had a better chance if Bowser's undead weren't a factor, but with them there, I'd argue his only possible answer to them would have been Infinite, and we all know what happened to _him_ here. This is still a great fight, but looking into certain minutiae makes it clear that the fight wasn't quite as close as it may initially seem. Bowser had several resources at his disposal that Eggman quite simply didn't have a proper answer for.

I remember the Trunks vs Silver situation. On one hand, I had more faith they could do justice to either version of that MU by then (and that it was closer than people thought, but that's another story), but on the other, there was no denying that Archie vs Xeno/Heroes brought more to the table overall, so I'm more happy they went with that (and also their other MUs aren't great anyway, but whatevs). Also, spite matches are cringe, so I more than relate to your fear. As for my personal history with you and your stuff, I had only discovered you (and Max and the lads by extension) around the end of 2020, but it's been pretty cool watching your old and new stuff, interacting with everyone in the discord, and seeing how much things have changed. What a sus fight. Expected Among Us because of the preview and Fall Guys felt more varied and seemed hard to kill, while Among Us didn’t have as much in comparison. Curious about next time for what they’ll include. Lots of WoG statements from Cory, the lore, and cosmology scaling for both series.
