Do you think if i replace the steering box will make my steering a little more smooth? It's not that stiff, but i would like it to be a little more smoother. Also i feel when I'm driving the truck wanders off or has play. I replaced the shaft with a cunningham shaft.
@treyhaberman11 күн бұрын
It can, but the best thing to do is have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you are watching all of you steering components and see where the play is coming from. You can see me do this in my steering component video.

If I’m just replacing the steering shaft assembly, will I still need to do a realignment afterwards?

Rubber gaskets never get rtv. only the paper gaskets. The only time you apply rtv with rubber gaskets, is a pea size amount in sharp corners deep, scratches, etc. Adding rtv material will split the gasket make it uneven and or cause it to slip out. It should all be clean as a bone to grip the mating surface.

What's the difference between a sensor and the switch?
@treyhabermanАй бұрын
They are sometimes called both, but some typically the oil pressure switch was just for a low oil pressure light and also a signal for the pcm for limp mode. A oil pressure sensor was used for the detail oil pressure reading on the dash.
