In the Pro wave, would you say the more difficult aspect to compete in is the running speed or completing all of the obstacles?
@joejitsufitnessАй бұрын
I would say that in the pro waves, being a fast/strong runner pays off more. The obstacles only slow the pros down a touch because of their proficiency on them, so they are mainly covering the ground in between obstacles very quickly. That said, training both disciplines is important to be successful, but if you are already a strong runner, work your obstacles, and if you are good at fitness/obstacles, run more often.👊👊

@@joejitsufitness Thanks for the response! I hope to someday compete in Pro, and I appreciate the insight!

I did the Blitz this weekend and had a blast! I was also surprised it wasn't a muddy run! My group is definitely going to run more of these races in the future, thanks for sharing your pov!
@joejitsufitnessАй бұрын
Thanks for watching!🙏💪🫡 We expected there to be a little more mud as well, but the course was set up differently last minute because of the recent hurricane, so they probably didn't have the time to set up muddy sections that are normally in this venue. Either way, congrats on your finish!!🎯🏁🔥

If you can’t complete a course do they make you re do it? Is every one required?
@joejitsufitness2 ай бұрын
If you run an open wave and can't complete an obstacle, you can just go around it or complete a penalty associated with that obstacle. In competitive waves, the obstacle must be completed on the first try or a penalty must be done. Usually a trail loop for extra running, but a few obstacles still require burpees if you fail.🤷♂️
@kevinmalone51042 ай бұрын
@@joejitsufitness much appreciated for the response, is the central Florida spartan an open wave or competitive? I’m doing it in December it’ll be my first
@joejitsufitness2 ай бұрын
No worries!!🫡 Sebring is a trifecta weekend, so they will run multiple distances all throughout the days. You can sign up for Saturday or Sunday's race, and you will see if you are selecting to run in a competitive or open wave at checkout on the website. Normally, competitive racers go first in the morning, and then open runners go in waves of about 50 people every 20minutes or so after that.
