Fear of abandonment? =))

My female is a face licker. She always aims for the lips. My male is not a face licker. He does love a good snoot boop and hugs though.

Dogs check on you because they simply want your attention. No other reason. No need to watch this stupid video.

My Chihuahua stares intensely, nonstop. He's planning out which body part he'll eat first when I die. I'm pretty sure he'll start with my face.

We have lots of different kinds of animals. Chickens, turkeys, peacock, dogs, cats… they are all quite interesting to spend time with. It’s also amazing how they all have distinct personalities, and all have relationships with each other. Even though some of the animals are seen to be predators and some are seen to be prey… they are able to share a farm with each other without any threatening behavior. I spent my life (first 50 years) in the public eye… but retired with animals where I have no visible neighbors. I unashamedly prefer the animals.

I make Goat noises and he looks at me very confusingly.

I sometimes bark with my dog, but I only do it when they're in a good mood, and I never do it when they're stressed. But I don't do it often, because I rather (and probably them too) just speak and act normally. They truly are such special beings with their own agency.

Our Jack-A-Bee, Sadie, is always checking on me and my wife. We love her so, and yes, she sleeps in the bed with us.

If their is one thing that God has blessed me with, every single animal we've ever had in our lifetime. Has passed away right next to us! Never once, have we've ever had to take any of them to the vet. I can't even begin to understand what that must feel like! I feel for each and every human being that has had to go thru!

Lost my dog today. Lymphoma stage 5 apparently. He was a beautiful, friendly German Shepherd approximately 120lbs. Due to his nature, named him Romeo. Crying as I type this but want to let you know what we experienced. Swollen nose, examined and two days later lump in his throat (lyphode). Specialty appointment arranged 6 days later and too late (not that anything could be done). Hope this helps and "goodnight sweet prince Romeo" you will be missed.

As my little dog gets older he waite at door to go for ride in car. He just loves it. Sleeps by my knee touching me and sets in recliner by my knees. Watches out window on top of couch when I leave without him. Loves going out of pet door to fenced in back yard to have dog time by his self.

I have a German Shepherd / Boarder Collie mix and he is REALLY clingy. He hates the idea of being separated from a human, so much to the point where he bark cries nonstop when separated. If I go into my room and he's outside the door he'll endlessly cry and bark until he's allowed into the room with me. It has woken me up quite a few times which is kinda annoying.

The dog has no opinion about you . There’s a consciousness there ; but ,, it’s not abstraction or conceptual. The dog is not thinking ! It just is … and it looks at you !

my little chihuahua came up to me the night before she passed and layed her head on my open hand and i didnt understand why and until early in the morning when i woke up and she passed away and now ik tht she was giving me her last little loving tht she could give me man i miss her and i had her since i was a kid and i am now 29....rip chichi

This video makes me feel guilty. I will admit there were times where I valued time spent playing video games more than the time spent with my dog. I no longer have my dog because she died of cancer. That is one of my greatest regrets. I wish I had spent more time with her while I still had her.

Oh god..its just so hard to go through. My last a female Rottweiler mix.i could see it in her eyes..cancer..i wasted no time. Want to see a full grown man cry like a baby for two straight weeks...i wasn't going to keep her alive for me. I think as bad as it hurt i still did the right thing.

I had a Frenchie that would sometimes peep in the bathroom on me where I could only see half of his face looking back at me as I sit on the toilet. He never barked nor made any other kind of sound just stared at me.

Wow, I never realized head pats could make some dogs uncomfortable! I always thought they were a sign of love, but this video really opened my eyes to the signs of stress dogs might show when receiving them. I’ll definitely be more mindful moving forward. The tips on how to pet my dog in a way that builds trust were super helpful-especially the part about gentle strokes and respecting their space. Great video🙂
