Hello Samy, I am a fan of RoninBlue KZbin channel. I like his conviction on minimalist lifestyle and FIRE movement and watched many of his videos. A few years ago he mysteriously stopped posting videos and I was wondering why he gave up making videos. A couple of days ago I clicked "more" on his profile and saw your message of his passing away. I was quite surprised/shocked and saddened by his abrupt departure at a fairly young age. All his hard work and efforts on minimalist living, investments, and FIRE movement went down the drain for nothing. My condolence. Take care!

What kind of roles are sought after there and at what age can you retire with a decent monthly pension, so that you can sustain the same quality of life?

I am in ❤ with Panama. Previously it was Bangkok Thailand, however I decided that it was too far away. Almost 22 hours to fly there from the DC area.

Motorbikes are soooo bad for the environment. All the gross fumes that are polluting the air...ughhh. Electric bikes are at least a bit better. China has soooo many people operating these too. It's terrible

Special care for medical emergency go to Canada, you're funny. Much better and quicker service and treatment. Do your proper research before uploading such a ridiculous video. Your 15 reasons are actually PROS to retire in Belize - if you are adaptive.

This post contains several instances of outright disinformation or gross exaggeration. IMHO, anyone seriously contemplating retiring to Panama, might want to take anything this "influencer" has to say on that particular subject with a huge grain of salt - if at all.

It is so much easier to come up with negative than positive aspects of life. To make any decision in general, it is about weighing the positive against the negative. The net benefit is what makes us decide to do something. I can come up with more than 19 reason not to retire here in the US for you within minutes, but do I leave the US because of these negative? The answer is the net benefit to me personally.

Music in every corner? This is ridiculous for you to say this. The great majory of residential neighborhoods in Guatemala city are super quiet. Only the traditional comercial centers like the " mercado" are noisy, the malls are classy.

And one reason not to retire in Croatia: tourists are welcome; immigrants, particularly retirees are not. We don't need additional demand and resulting price hikes of everything from housing to groceries. And we certainly do not need additional pressure on the heavily understaffed, bankrupt and corrupt healthcare system. Go retire somewhere else, in a more developed economy and a less corrupt healthcare system.

The problem in the US is that we have so many cultures and people, and the glue that once cemented us is now gone with so many different people living here.

It's called bartering, not haggling...I was in the Nam 1968/71 up in Kontum and Dakto....I love bartering with the local stores; it was fun, and they also enjoyed the bartering. I hated the war, but I loved the people and the countryside.

If I were in my 20's it might be an option. As a senior it sounds like major adjustment and not all the interesting. Not in to humidity, and beaches any more.

The real problems you mention are superficial, sometimes wrong, depending on where you live in Panama, or is a potential problem for anyone retiring in a new place, far away. I've lived in multiple places in Panama, all with different climates so I know what I am talking about. Whether something is a problem also depends on where you have moved from, what you are seeking and whether you are a flexible person.
