Thanks for getting me into painting lures man, I did my first one today and it turned out way better than I thought it would. Even though I used spray paint
@BakerBuilds2 күн бұрын
Dude right on! That’s awesome. When I started I was using spray paint also. You can get a lot of baits painted with one can of paint haha

Is the Chrome blank done with Spectra chrome?
@BakerBuilds7 күн бұрын
I’m not exactly sure. I purchased the blank pre chromed. I think it’s possible dipped 🤷♂️

@ I love that bronze. I’ve had “sticky” issues with it as well. But it’s so slick looking
@BakerBuilds11 күн бұрын
@ might have to thin it or something. I’ll try that on the next one

@ I believe the normal reducer would help. Probably wouldn’t take much

@@BakerBuilds So like the old fashion stickers we used to put on model planes, soak in water till it lifts then slide into place? if it is who makes custom stickers..

Very clever idea with the tape, on your pants, to reduce tack. See….you’re teaching Old Guys stuff….and we already think we know everything, so 🤷♂️….well done, Sir 🫡

Does this advice apply to solely acrylic paint or does it work for Laquer as well?
@BakerBuildsАй бұрын
On laquer paints you will probably need paint thinner or something similar. Be cautious though because sometimes the harsh chemicals can damage the small orings in the airbrush
@estecksАй бұрын
Great video! My son and I want to start doing this as a hobby. I was wondering where I can get the stand to hold the lure and the stencils to airbrush fish textures.

I wasted a lot of money on Allumilite. Can not get a pour that doesn't have multiple skin bubbles and voids. Every single pour regardless of what I try. Smooth Cast doesn't give me that problem but isn't as naturally buoyant so additional microspheres are required
