I like to imagine that's what he wears when he reunites with Mags in the Big Finish audio 'The Monsters of Gokroth'. On the case we see a glimpse of a button on his lapel, hinting it may be this outfit.

Utter pieces of crap. I cannot believe that Dewar and Character have bragged about these figures as "Gen 3" when they've removed as fundamental a point of articulation as the lateral hip movement... a point of articulation that the figures have had since 2006 (with the exception of the 3.75" figures, and we know how THAT went). "What use is the Doctor?" Well, not much bloody use at all, with these p!ss poor, 1999 - era levels of articulation. THREE swivels in the leg is no advancement whatsoever, when you're left with a figure that's got less functional and practical artic for dynamic posability/playability than figures produced in the same line almost TWENTY YEARS AGO. This is the inevitable result of not complaining and accepting diminishing standards for increasing prices. Shoddy, declining merch in support of a shoddy, declining franchise, and Character and the BBC will continue to rip you off before laughing all the way to the bank.

Why is it new who prices are high the dvd is 39.99 for 8 episodes and to get the doctors and rubys autographs your paying £195 at lfcc

Best Supreme Dalek ever.

The Space Pirates is never ever gonna turn up. Like ever. It's the least sold and seen story. It's lost in time. Because of it's bad reputation they are probably nervous about investing to animate the thing. I wish they would so there is a complete Season 6 🙏🙏🙏 like Season 2, fans would buy. They should have done a Crusade animation which is unforgivable

Fantastic episode fellas and it’s a privilege to have you as host mr. Sellek. I feel absolutely justified in having box upon box of DVD’s, vhs and Blu-rays right now. I was raised with physical media and I’ll die on that hill. If I’m binging a season of dr who I don’t want to be missing seeds of doom because someone is having a tantrum about rights issues. It’s a shame if some newbies are missing those stellar episodes because they’re watching on streaming.

I got the online exclusive for myself and then when I spotted the retail ones in my local independent toy shop I bought one of 15 to give my 4 year old for Christmas (so he hopefully won’t want to steal mine) 😂

Derek Sherwin wrote part one of The Mind Robber. Terrance Dicks was concentrating on the last three stories having trailed Sherwin.

Re Season 25 blurays. The new effects don't work as well as they should - in Remembrance they're so HD that they don't sit in the original footage. They really needed expanded music scores as slowing down or cutting up the original cues doesn't work to sell the new scenes. Silver Nemesis - Mike Tucker suggested cybermats to Andrew Cartmel but he turned it down as he thought they were shit. So this is newly shot material but work brilliantly for the scene.

The sound of the clockwork soldiers is most disturbing 💂‍♂

Enemy of the World might have been more appropriate!

If I had to pick one classic story where the low budget and clunkiness genuinely benefits it, it would be this one. CGI, Murray Gold and a lightning fast pace would kill the surreal, nightmare like atmosphere.

I’m surprised the land of fiction hasn’t appeared in this new era for Who yet. Especially with this new “anything goes” era

I really like The Mind Robber, it’s my second favourite story from Troughton’s era. I like the fantasy land aspect for this story, it’s just a bit of fun with the Doctor and co encountering all these characters. And one of my favourite scenes is with the Medusa and the use of stop motion because it reminds me of Clash of the Titans (1980) and I like stop motion personally.

So interesting watching this back months later. It WAS Sutekh! The constant breaking the 4th wall literally was just "Doctor Who can just do this now". Ruby was just a big mystery box after all. Ncuti did keep crying every week. Sad to listen in retrospect to all the hope only to know how (mostly) disappointing it ended up being.

4 years later and we're on set 18, wonder what's next

I would actually say the colour on the death zone dalek was closer to the drone colour in the episode just with more of a gloss but still a great set of figures nevertheless!

The could do a set with davros with the injector tool and have it come with a dalek with a flip up head like the planet of the dalek ones but the hinge is fliped so the front goes up

After days of frantically searching for this one, I managed to get the variant where the mesh on the grunt Dalek has partially silver mesh

Love the attention to detail on this figure even right down to the split in her eyebrow, these figures are possibly the best articulation we've seen too, I think they are amazing figures, Thanks for the brilliant review Matt.

I thought they could for release the black Dalek with Davros and then grey mesh and the silver mesh Dalek together.

How did you take davros out of the packaging without damaging the backdrop?

The Dalek with the silver neck band behind the mesh/slats looks to be a very slightly darker grey? Maybe it's just the lighting in the video, but it does look different! I'm going to have to have a good look in my local B&M to see if they get these in.... 👍🏻
