lmfao I was thinkin the same. as someone who's been in game development as a career people just word vomiting and complaining about random nonsense like they know the absolute truth only divides communities like OW more and more. There is no absolute truth to game where you can 'solve' balancing because game balance needs to be shaken up constantly to make the game interesting and ever changing

@@joshuanorton8511 If that change is negatively impacting your game, Then I think you might need to look into that. I'm just starting out as a game designer so I may be wrong about this. But They still have Overwatch 1 code. You can view it in the replays. I have a replay from OW1, They still have the code. So why don't they just revert back to Overwatch 1 where its better? I know you have to market that and everything and change a lot but still. They have old code in there game and they know it. If a change is bad then why not revert it? I know theres more than that. Like change a few values, But im just trying to shed some light on where the devs can be improved a bit.

@@buggieow1 overwatch 1 being ‘better’ is an objective opinion some people view. Again, there’s no definitive right decision here. Personally I’d love a happy medium between 1 and 2 and wish Blizzard was more open to the idea of Experimental game modes to try out other potential options. My favorite option Id love to explore at one point is 6v6 with 2 different tank queues. The premise is to prevent double barrier from OW1 again so the tank rolls you pick are split. The rolls are either barrier tank and non barrier tank. This is sorta similar to how offense and defense hero’s were treated in OW1.

I still play it every now and then. I'm glad you can enjoy it though.

Your right, Being able to pick and play whatever I want and not have the fear of being counter played. Counter picking wasn't that prone in Overwatch 1. It happened don't get me wrong, But it wasn't devastating to the tank players when it happened.

Swing damage charges block for 80%. I hit him once so he had atleast 80% thats not enough for him to have punch. That means he must have been hit from another source of damage.

I expect that if a rein is nanod in the backline. 1v2ing, that he should win. I pinned the cass because that was a free kill. Went after ana because now doom has no supps 4v1ing my entire team. Thats like saying winston 1v2ing supports. I had a game on winston where i was the only dive character on junkertown. I had to dive widowmaker mercy on cooldown. 2v1. And we lost and i got blamed. But my dps refused to counter swap the widow. Overwatch used to be a game where you can play any character up to gm. Now you barely can because counter swapping and characters like sojourn exist. Call me biased but i think overwatch is in one of the worst states its been in for awhile. From a tanks POV.

reinhardt isn't good at peeling doomfist, so zoning the rest of doom's team is the correct play. however in that 2v1 he definitely should have just played his life, if he held shield he wouldn't get slept and he would've lived.

Ive felt like this for a few seasons and i was scared. But I thought they were going to lower the damage ceiling of every character in the game. That turned out to be incredibly false. I agree, they need to raise the damage of tanks.

​@buggieow1 lol what? Raise tank damage? Hog going to 1 shot again, doom going to demolish teams, a charged zar going to be scary as hell, mauga is a walking bastion turrent. No way they are going to increase tank damage. This gameplay footage is nothing but you/ your team getting out played. The team never followed you on the hammer charge kill. The rotation left made the team run past a exposed area where you all got murdered. The df charged punch reset was completly your dps feeding him and him totaly out playing you.

I thought that the blocked damage doesnt count towards powering up block.

I feel you and honestly, sometimes it gets so hard to play into counters some games that i just swap. And I get that its hard to learn a tank when you get countered 24/7. Depending on your rank, maybe metal ranks, dont flank as much. Metal ranked players dont understand the word "rotate" or "dive" as well as Diamond even Masters players. Big tip against mauga, sometimes its better to just wait out his cardiac overdrive. Orisa tip i can give you is bait gold or her E. They usually use javelin to stun u from far away. Against ana, well i had a game last night where ana kept me antid the entire game, whether it killed me or not she didnt care. Against winston, well i hope your team understands the word "reaper" or "bastion" because if you cant force a winston out from overstaying his welcome then those heroes gotta help and if they dont, well it wont look good.

The first tank I picked up was Reinhardt. Once I figured out roadhog could 1 shot i swapped and mained him for x amount of years. Still do. Roadhog is fun to play but he does so little. And the state of the game, tons of CC, stuns, slows, anti healing, immortality. It almost makes hog unplayable. And sometimes when they buff hog, it breaks the game. I think it was S3 of OW2. All you saw was Ram, Orisa, And hog. Rock paper scissors.
