Man i used to play the shi outta hog, back at the start of ow2 when he had his pull shoot melee combo and that was great, then they took it away, but im glad to see hogs had a redemption and thanks for the guide so i can relearn my favorite pig boy

Honestly the thing I need the most is good positioning mostly I don’t know where I’m supposed to be to apply pressure on the enemy team so they don’t just kill my team. W vid tho 🙏

I got really tired of playing rock paper scissors on tank so I decided to one trick hog this season. How do you play into the big counters like orisa, mauga, ana, and winston? I found against most of these heroes I cant even play on the front line without getting completely shredded. I go for flanks and off angles to get plenty of picks but my team is then losing on the objective. I know you're supposed to swap like every 30 seconds as tank but like I can't properly learn any of the tanks if I keep doing that, it doesn't feel like dps where I could easily one trick sombra and learn all the niche interactions over 100s of hours while slowly climbing.

I feel you and honestly, sometimes it gets so hard to play into counters some games that i just swap. And I get that its hard to learn a tank when you get countered 24/7. Depending on your rank, maybe metal ranks, dont flank as much. Metal ranked players dont understand the word "rotate" or "dive" as well as Diamond even Masters players. Big tip against mauga, sometimes its better to just wait out his cardiac overdrive. Orisa tip i can give you is bait gold or her E. They usually use javelin to stun u from far away. Against ana, well i had a game last night where ana kept me antid the entire game, whether it killed me or not she didnt care. Against winston, well i hope your team understands the word "reaper" or "bastion" because if you cant force a winston out from overstaying his welcome then those heroes gotta help and if they dont, well it wont look good.

Ngl,hog was the first tank i picked up and could actually just play. He is fun to play,but playing against counters just makes him lackluster. Still fun to one shot people tho,just wish there was smt more he could do. Compared to the other tanks Hog is pretty weak overall. (i dont main tank role) None bias opinion but he srsly needs a slight buff,maybe increase his hook cooldown but make his one shots more consistent..might be op but hey Kiriko exists😆😆

The first tank I picked up was Reinhardt. Once I figured out roadhog could 1 shot i swapped and mained him for x amount of years. Still do. Roadhog is fun to play but he does so little. And the state of the game, tons of CC, stuns, slows, anti healing, immortality. It almost makes hog unplayable. And sometimes when they buff hog, it breaks the game. I think it was S3 of OW2. All you saw was Ram, Orisa, And hog. Rock paper scissors.
