Hello, I hope my help is useful! I have a Vw polo tdi 9N3 year 2008 as a second car, and I have the same noise that you indicate in the video! Searching a lot on KZbin I found this video link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqrKfpWaqN-Gg7s (min 1.53) It is clear that the noise is most certainly coming from the steering box screws!! They are loose and need tightening! When you turn the steering wheel from one side to the other, the entire steering box moves as the screws that hold it in place are at an inadequate torque. Now I don't have time to tighten the steering box but I'm going to fix it as soon as possible! Greetings from Spain (Europe)

9 and 3, and your seat position is not ideal. You should be able to reach your wrist to the top of the steering wheel without really moving your shoulder off of the seat. Lastly, you may want to put your steering wheel down a tad for more comfortability in this new position. Not hating, just giving you some tips if you want. Enjoy her and stay safe out there!

Take it to car shows and start reading forums. You’ll find out so much about your car you would have never known, and maybe you can unlock more potential out of it too. And keep up on maintenance!! Nothing worse than spending thousands on repairs that could have been prevented on a 40 minute job and 100 bucks!

Only ever hand washed the car, so that wasn’t an issue. If someone puts their hand on it and slams your trunk closed, say for curbside grocery pickup- the paint can crack. Personally wouldn’t do another rubber spoiler but if you paint it right and are careful with it, it can look nice for a few years.

If you use a site like ecstuning or modded euros, and chat/email a rep I’m positive they could get you the right part if that’s the mount you need. I have seen it’s pretty easy to change just have to removed the battery/tray to get to the mount. Use a jack under the engine to keep it at the right height. You can use videos from most VWs with the same engine and layout to get an idea what to do. I used a lot of Jetta videos for research when I had the Passat. Good luck!
