Like! I watched AH only bc of Julia, I wish I can see more of her range at that age. I’m reading way into it - There’s such a difference between the two stars, most clear near the middle when Pitt is experiencing the moment so effortlessly with Julia, a young actress, and Leo is absorbing the moment, with his stoic distance (so he can advocate for the rest of the world :). Props to Mr Moh, TKD PRIDE. And this is old, so hopefully Margaret with hollywood connections has learned to properly, ReSPeCtfuLLy, sit during a panel when someone is seated “behind” you.

I was a first year optometry student in Chicago when Breaking Away premiered. My roommate was an IU grad who had ridden in the Little 500. He talked 3 of us into riding our bicycles from Chicago to IU to attend the Premiere at the Little 500. The first day we rode 41 miles against the wind and we were exhausted. I thought this trip was a dumb idea. The next day we rode 121 miles with the wind, effortlessly. IU was beautiful, the people were friendly, the race was fun. Great trip, and movie. My roommate said they actually called the townies “stonies” not cutters.

I was 18 when this came out. I lived in the midwest, worked in a bike shop since I was 14, and related to the Cutters and all those coming of age struggles. To this day it's one of my favorite movies. This was long before VCRs so it was years before I saw it again. I now rewatch it again every few years. I remember when I hit 40, thinking about Dennis Quaid and his "mean old man Mike" monologue. Great movie.

I just watched my DVD of Breaking Away last night. The first time I saw it, I was a freshman in college at the University of Illinois. I grew up in the Chicago era (Lombard) and I used to go to Northbrook to watch bicycle races at the velodrome. I remember one time I saw Carlos Sintes race. Carlos played the Italian racer with the glasses. One of the other Italian racers was played by John Vande Velde who was also a racer and father of Tour de France rider Christian Vande Velde. John is from Glen Ellyn which is next door to Lombard. The scene in the movie that gets me every time is when Mr. Stohler is listening to the Little 500 on the radio and gets excited when he hears how well Dave is doing. When Mr. Stohler finally slams the car door shut and peels out of the parking lot to go to the race it makes me cry every time. Another great actor in the movie is John Ashton who plays Mike's brother. John is probably best known for the Beverly Hills Cop movies. He also played one of Kevin Bacon's neighbors in "She's Having a Baby". I love it when Mike finally gets in the race and his brother yells "Go you Cutter go!" He specifically says "Cutter" and not "Cutters" because he's rooting for his brother.

Great video! If you loved Poor Things, definitely check this out. Their last Q&A! So many interesting parts, but I found the backstory on the composer Jerskin Fendrix and how he and Yorgos collaborated fascinating. And this group all has another film coming out in June! Really great job with this video, thank you Front Row Flynn 👏

Thanks Bob, glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🏻☺️ Yes, very interesting way Yorgos worked with Jerskin on the score, reminded me of how Hans Zimmer wrote the score for INTERSTELLAR just working off Christopher Nolan’s script. Was thinking the same thing, this was their last Q&A on a lengthy campaign tour, but they’ll start all over for the new film in June. 🎉🥳

A big favorite! When I was 13 (1962), there was an Austrian kid in my school. We hung out a bit, and I met his 21yo brother - who had this weird looking bike. Drop handlebars, multiple gears. So unlike the English Racers that were popular at the time. I bought a Huffy 5 speed, to ride with the club. In the fall, I bought a bike from someone who was having a new one shipped over. They weren't in stores yet, here. I rode and raced regularly for 3 years. I was then 16, the TR3 I was rebuilding was done, and I had my license. Girls became my new interest... This movie was my story, without the Italian fetish. I do miss riding. And driving around with HS girls. Those were the days! Today, I have a bad leg and couldn't get into that old sports car. And haha - to HS girls, I'm invisible.

Collider’s cameras were filming the event in 4K 24fps, I believe, so they needed more light. But I thought the bright light was great, helped me out too, shooting 4K at a different frame rate. I wish they were all this well lit.

When I was really young, I didn’t know much. I was catering and it was a party in West Hollywood and I noticed all the people coming in. We’re all dressed in different uniforms, submarines some army, some navy, and it was all men and I was thinking wow this is strange there’s no womenand the head bartender with Scotty… And he was like business as usual which I thought OK it’s the job it’s just men from the army Navy, and whatever having a party… Little did I know it was a kinky all dress part gay party… I shall never forget it, but it was very innocent at least I was😊
