No kocks on Keoghan's physicality, which is substantial, but much of Oliver's appeal has to come from how terribly needy he is. His incredible neediness evokes a feeling of "Gosh, I must be really desireable!" in Farleigh and Venetia, otherwise living the cardboard lives of upper-class twits. That response, I think, the enjoyment of it, is what allows Oliver to seduce them.
