Fantastic video! Fantastic build! Your presentation was near - perfect. This area of video making is often so hard to get right, so.... many thanks, again.

Did you use treated timber for the framing ? Or just normal untreated timber definitely cheaper

What screws did you use for fixing the shed frame to the osb boards? This tutorial is excellent and doing my build this weekend, thank you for making the video

Mate, I watched these the wrong way round watching the shed build first. Impressed with you’re ‘thinking’ acuity. Thumbs up again but also a sub 🍻🍻

Mate, I appreciate all the effort you went to with all the information given, as you’ve taken the ‘thinking’ part out of my project and I can now just get on with it. 🍻🍻👍🏻

OSB board = Oriented strand board board. Sorry couldn't resist. I'm just about to start building my shed/garden room, so watching a lot of videos like this. Always good to see how other people approach their builds, every one is ever so slightly different and that's perfect for finding little tips and things that could apply to my own project. Thanks for the video.

Which video have you found to be the best? And whats the rough cost of building one from scratch if you don’t mind me asking? I’m thinking of doing the same thing instead of buying a flimsy flat pack.

@@James-yy4vl most of the videos I've been watching are aimed at garden rooms, but the same techniques apply to a very high quality shed. I'd say if it's just for storage and you don't plan to insulate it, then something this size can be built to a good standard for under £2000

That was most definitely a human bone my dude, you're gonna have a ghost hanging out in your shed lol. Also unless you ask your neighbours permission don't plant bamboo, the bastards grow everywhere...

That hardened old wood will refuse nails, but I'm sure 8mm galvanized bolts w/fender washers OR just lag bolts would do just fine. Collar ties make very good sense & purlines add much rigidity to the roof itself.. Of course, I've built prototype cars, a few walls, fences, but your old house is a bueaty project..

Reference your query on annular ring shank nails. The annular refers to the ring, wrapped around the nail shank. (Annular means ring shaped.) They grip soft woods better than straight shank or screw shank, which turn as you hammer them in.

What a horrible job it is. It took me 3 solid days to remove the render off the back of my house and I was using a heavier duty pneumatic breaker to get it off, on a low setting so as not to damage the walls. Very heavy to use compared with your Titan drill. Not a job I'd ever undertake again!

Did you cry after that discovery ? ! 😂 Wow that’s a task on its own…. But there’s nothing like rebuilding, regeneration and rejuvenating….. it gives so much satisfaction I’m trying to get half metre(or less) of render off a brick lintel and it’s pulling big lumps off the bricks 😢 Good video I might try that comb style SDS chisel myself x

You would be best suited to place a 4 foot anchor board into the center of each wall top plate and the other side then cable the them using a turnbuckle drawing them together to the into the correct width. You should use a plumb level at center ridge beam and see what the width should be equidistant to the walls at some location.

Hello mate, great video by the way, I wanted to ask you on an estimate of how long do you think it takes for a square meter of the wall surface to be cleaned off the cement render by hand and chisel and if it’s possible at all?
@golfhooligans
@golfhooligans Жыл бұрын
id say an hour or two depending on how hard it is and by hammer and chisel. but yes its definitely possible, you'll just have to be patient and push through the pain of giving up ahah
