For captivating short stories try Claire Keegan's books. My favourite was Foster, then Small Things Like These, then So Late in the Day! She's definitely my new instant read/buy author!!! Also, beacuse you mentioned that Betty was a 5 star read for you, I think you'll love If I Tell You The Truth by Jasmin Kaur!!!

Definitely agree, Lapovna has the potential but the execution was just all wrong. The treatment of the women in the book is what turned me off the most; which is ironic considering Ottessa is thought of as a “feminist” novelist lol

hello, no worries it’s alright! it depends on which country you’re from and the currency exchange. for the 🇵🇭 peso/currency, the books in bangkok are way cheaper! i highly suggest getting books while in bangkok 🫶🏼
